Tie Vote: Good idea or nah? - Lets Beef

Should we include, along with the options to choose one of two winners of a battle, a third option which says "Tie"? This would mean that whatever your amount of VP will be split among the two combatants towards the outcome of the battle. What do you guys think?

It doesn't always have to be a case of being incapable of deciding. Can someone decide that two people are actually equal in a battle? Perhaps the recourse now, since there is no tie option, would be to simply not vote....which brings us to the consideration: would adding a "tie vote" increase voting by allowing people who don't have a clear winner to vote where they otherwise might have decided not to vote?

Honestly, a solid voter will b able to pick a winning verse 9/10 times.. no matter how close it is. There'll b something that edges their vote one way, could b tha smallest detail but it'll b there. Now, w that said.. not a lot of people on here r solid w tha voting so this could help if it plays out but could also cause a lot of shii.

bad idea imo. how would this work in a tournament standpoint? unless ties were added to our record, this would be pointless, because if everyone votes it a tie, battles would never end. plus, people would just pick tie without even reading the battle for fast and easy credits. @NOBLE

I guess my biggest problem with it is what would be the point? It doesn't effect the outcome of the battle. It just says oh hey, person x couldn't make a decision, but they read the battle, I promise!

It may even promote shittier voting so that people can rack up credits, with people spamming 'too close to decide' and then posting that on a ton of battles so they can battle more.

I don't think adding a tie option does much.

That said...the voting standard has got so shit lately that the shite voters might just vote for a tie rather than the wrong person when they are looking to vote for credits...
