Mindless needs help..... Again.

So, I'm trying to redesign my podcasts logo because it looks like shit


The text is bad and the ring looks janky as fuck and lost all the 3Dish elements it had in the original image.

So here's my problem. The best and highest res image of a wrestling ring I can find is this:

This is the same image I used to make the logo above. As you can see I just blacked out the ropes and filled the mat with blue. Here's the problem though. It doesn't look good. At all.

I think I'm probably just terrible at this. All I need is a wrestling ring with a blue apron, white mat, black ring posts and red turnbuckles with Smark Snark circled around the outside of it. I can't even get past the part where I color the pieces because I suck at the lasso tool though and I keep missing pits of white and shit so when I use the color select tool it gets all borked up.

I guess I'm just venting/looking for advice here.

Crhave you tried..

Cropping it out>Using adjustments>color select>messing with the adjustments?.. a hella lot easier than coloring the ish by itself


FYI coloring is damn patient work.. (requires a lot of zooming, and lassoing.. and i hate both them shits)

You're the man bro. We're holding steady at around 50 or so listeners for each podcast which isn't awful but I'd really like to expand that at some point. It's going to require forcing two of my partners to kick one of the other partners off the show to do that though and I don't think they're going to be ready to do that any time soon.

I've done it before, I was just REALLY FUCKING hoping I was doing it wrong and it didn't really require all that shit. Maybe I'll just go on Deviant Art and commission the cheapest one I can find or something. Surely a wrestling ring with some text around it can't be that expensive right?

As long as I don't want to use it commercially or actually have any of the rights to it lol

You're the man bro. We're holding steady at around 50 or so listeners for each podcast which isn't awful but I'd really like to expand that at some point. Starting to hate doing graphics almost as much as I hate fucking with some of these backend softwares.

Unrelated note: Don't buy vB5. It's a piece of broken unfinished shit. Also, PLIGG is basically a scam to get you to buy features that should be built into the site as plugins and isn't half of what WordPress is despite having been in dev for better than 8 years.
