Some rappers round these ways got that clothing thing going on, like making there own brand, even on the boxing gear.. there brand is called A-k clothing.. or they just promote it idk.

I got 1.3k+ play's on all four of my songs on Soundcloud. Highest one reaching 1.8k, all songs have 29-35 likes on each one.

I have used no particular method, or the method Punk is speaking of. Only method I used was self promoting via instagram / messages through my phone.

Also, as I do feel time has a factor in this, so... for you to get a basic idea - the song at 1.8k plays has been out for a little over a year, and the latest one at 1.3k plays has only been out for 6 months.

Just dropping my two cents, and explaining that 30 likes and 1k+ plays doesn't mean that you used a particular method, not trying to make you feel dumb Punk. Just want to ensure a fair and unbiased view-point is dropped on the subject.

There are some basics.

First, branding. Make sure you have a longterm name, logo and maybe theme ypure going to be happy with for a long time.

Next, network. Get out all over the Internet. Communicate and collaborate. If uou make music, try to work with similar level artists. This doubles the marketing of the track. Be a part of something. For me as a writer, thats websites. I get quadruple the posts from the site and site members.

Clothing, I only know the smaller scale. I made about 50 quid on zazzle but it wasn't worth my time and marketing.

Basically, get the fuck out there. Be a member of communities online. Have people invest in your success out of community spirit.

Ill post more refined stuff later but these have helped me in a small scale.
