It was always going to be a straight race between Ronaldo and Messi. Like Eloh said his impact as an individual wasn't anywhere near as great as either of them 2. Ribery is class. But Bayerns success was more down to the unit than it was too Ribery bailing them out and shining as an individual.
Also Matt Le Tissier is a premier league great. Every season Southampton would be in and around the bottom 3. If it wasn't for him they'd have been relegated.
