Ronaldo is the more complete package.

He's considerably taller than messi.
He's stronger.
He's faster.
He can head the ball.
Making him much more deadly from corners.
From goalkicks to set up attacks.
He is the better free kick taker.
Making him more versatile.

Don't get me wrong Messi is a great player. What makes him so special is his low center of gravity. It makes him deadly when running at opposing defenders (Just like my all time favourite City player Georgi Kinkladze. I actually think Kinky would be better than Messi had he been surrounded by the same players (Kinky was MESSI before MESSI was Messi). Thats another thing Messi benefits from. Being surrounded by players like Xavi and Iniesta and an all round solid squad with stabillity and a clear focus in terms of how to play the game. Ronaldo has never had this.

Agreed. I don't even know how anyone can claim Ronaldo is better if they actually watch football.

I grew up playing and watching football. I had trials at United. You do know that Football isn't only about how many goals you score? (Which is silly anyway considering the amount Ronaldo scores in the first place)

I talk to die hard old time city fans and even they admit Ronaldo is the better more versatile player. To deny that is what's really crazy.

Tbf though the squad isn't that great tbh. He's inherited a lot of mediocre players. And not many if any Managers would get that lot to win a title like Fergie did last season. Also the top teams aren't slipping up like last season.

However Messi is the better team player and especially for someone who scores a lot of solo goals, he's rarely ever been accused of holding the ball to long. Ronaldo however has many times where he holds on to the ball to long when could of been using his team mates as a better option. While Ronaldo and Messi scoring record are closely matched its the assists that seperate the two. Messi has way greater discipline than Ronaldo as well. When Messi gets hacked at he does everything he can to stay on his feet and continue on the attack. Ronaldo is usually quick to go down easily. Messi is also better when it comes to skill and technique...yes I know Ronaldo is the king of the step over but he can also be guilty of the going one step over and at teams costing his team the possession. While Ronaldo is faster than messi I would still say Messi is quicker w/ his feet. Yes I have this argument a lot haha

Yeah I agree with that. If you only watched his Goals you'd think Barca was a 1 man team and all he does is run at players and go for goal. but he very rarely gives the ball away and is good at holding it up and making the right pass. He's a great team player.
