Why the fuck would you spend €1000 on a microphone? It won't improve you as an artist. Get a studio quality mic for €200-€300. Don't be foolish.

I agree.
My mic is like $80.00 and it has fine quality.

What I would suggest is this. Don't blow your Grand on a microphone as you'll just be putting all of your eggs into 1 basket. Spend about 300 on your mic, another 100 on a pre amp to power it. That leaves you with 600 to spend on a decent computer built specially for recording. If you already have 1, I would FIRST suggest using your money to fund building a home made sound proof booth, if you have the space in your house to keep 1 Then spend the remainder on the mic and pre amp to go with it. Don't blow all of your money on the mix. No matter how good it is, if the rest isn't in place it won't sound as good as a cheaper mic with everything else to go w/ it.

nah he's wrong
if you get a 1000 dollar mic and have the shit to power it and record with it. as long as you not in a dark chamber
its gonna sound better then a 200 dollar mic no matter where you record w/ the 200 dollar mic.

You can't say anybody is wrong when you don't even know the mans situation. He could be recording in a big room with tall ceiling's and hard wood flooring as well as a shit load of other stuff like t.v's ect which his voice will bounce off. In that case he would get a better sound doing what I said. It's a suggestion thread. So let him decide based on his situation who is wrong and who is right.
