Ali never Knocked him out ... only person to hit the canvas in their 3 fight series was Ali .... and Foreman anhialated him in 2 rounds with Frazier down 6 times ... rematch was just as one sided but Frazier lasted till the 5th round
Ali came out the 3 fight series 2-1 ahead... but Joe won the important one when they were both undefeated ... second one was a bore... but the 3rd's widely regarded as the best fight in heavyweight history ... Eddie futch pulled Frazier out the fight at the end of the 14th round because he could no longer see and had started to take some heavy punishment .. but it hadn't stopped him dishing it out.... Frazier NEVER spoke to Futch ever again ... Ali openly admits it was the closest he's ever been to death in his whole entire life and he'd asked angelo dundee to cut his gloves off after round 14 ... he'd quit and decided he couldn't continue .... he looked across the ring and saw the ref waiving it off with Frazier being pulled out then collapsed in the ring .... both men gave every ounce they had that night and basicaly fought to a standstill
