Well some ignorant people still use it offensively, and i clearly am aware of what the year is. Its apparent that you must not live in some of the places i've lived in where there are still people and areas of this country who very strongly still have and show their racist feelings. I completely understand what the meaning of the word is. But it is still used by many as a racial term, not everyone is man enough to do it to ones face, they do it amongst their friends and online.
