Quit trying to turn the bible into some figurative nirvana. that's not what the bibles about.
The bible is about a bunch of people thousands of years ago using a deity to explain the world around them. We no longer need it. god is dead.

? to explain the world around them ? i dont agree quotes like that make me think you havent even red a bible before .. and you also are referring to any bibles lol but your still seeing them from a human point of veiw and it was written by people yes not about the world around them more testimonies of what god has done for them by them searving him .. and i can relate from personal experiences but ? :S each to there own .

At base, that's what religion is. A thought school that tries to define the world around it. Take any religions, that's is base, the search for understanding.
And the "well, I know so" argument is the worst one ever created.
I know that monkeys live on the moon. IDK why, but ti's inherently ineffable within me. Thus, it must be true. Right? That's the religious way of thinking.
