We haven't just been racist and degrading to only "black people".......We did Murder a lot of Native Americans and took their land long before racism of blacks was brought to be.

We're not colored people as a society, we're cultural people. Black isn't even really a color, it's the lack of Color.

In the visible spectrum, white reflects light and is a presence of all colors, but black absorbs light and is an absence of color. Black can be defined as the visual impression experienced when no visible light reaches the eye.

So... maybe "White" americans should be the ones that are described as "Colored"
