Now I know what you're referring to as well, when you use homonyms and homophones, I think that's the more traditional way to do it when you try to formulate the sentence concept to work. some wack shit but like "blue ya shot" like a smurf in a shooting range. <-- That would work both ways because of the homophone used. but when you use an oronym, it's tricky because they don't work the same way homophones work, seeing as phonetically it changes the entire sentence itself.

"The Stuff He Knows can be dangerous."
"The Stuffy Nose can be dangerous."

^ See what I mean? So obviously when using an oronym like that, it would change the sentence formation and concept itself to be something entirely different.... but that's what oronyms do.


Just saying.... You don't have to think it's "Hot", Or "Dope", but... Gramatically.... PulSe is right.... ON THAT SINGLE CONCEPT anyways... And I don't think i've ever said those words before.

That's lazy and imperfect in my opinion. I think the general consensus of accurate wordplay nowadays is that it has to work both ways as a wordplay without being forced and work in natural speech and as a grammatically correct sentence.

Oldheads are still coming around to this but I personally think it's what real skillful wordplay should be. Thanks for the input dude.
