Actually, The Dominican Republic Is A Nation On The Island Of Hispaniola.
And According To Wikipedia; The population of the Dominican Republic is entirely Spanish-speaking, save for some recent immigrants. Schools are based on a Spanish educational model, with English being taught as a secondary language in most private schools, it is also being taught in public school as well.
