Should we make LB an 18+ website?

Sure, a person who is sixteen will be more mature than a person who is thirteen. I agree with that. But, you're viewing it only from that perspective in regard to pornography, and from the viewpoint of the minor. To again add some exposition to the adult side of this context, in the U.S. it is a federal crime to expose a minor to pornographic material(even if this is an unintentional act, like posting it on a forum, and a young passerby happens to see it.). It falls into the realm of "criminal obscenity." So, even if a younger member isn't phased by this sort of post, there are stark potential ramifications for an adult member in this situation. A lot of the written material here may fall into this category as well(I'm not 100% on written material meeting the criteria for criminality in this case, so take this last point with a grain of salt.), and may additionally be seen as obscene in the eyes of the law.

All of the aforementioned aside, though, I still think the more pressing issue is in regard to privacy, and the data collection of minors, and how this may create backlash against the site as a whole, as opposed to on the individual basis of membership. There has to be some way to determine who is a minor, in order to prevent the collection of data from them from the site.
