I mean...this dude got compared to Nas... Besides the obvious fact that their voice is similar and he rapped on Nas beats... He says some very clever shit from time to time. He signs to Jay-Z.... I see him do a Mountain Dew commercial...and he's set to release..but still. He's been hella quiet. The dudes that were comin up around his time are already makin moves... Drake, J. Cole, Big Sean, etc. He was supposed to be mentioned alongside those names.

& He puts out an unfinished track..Its so unfinished that the beat cuts off and he takes pauses and shit. Like real real rough draft shit. But wow, this was fuckin impressive.

as messed up as that sounds, its somewhat true from my experience...ive known about jay electronica for awhile now, but when he first started gaining buzz - it went in one ear and out the other for me...its not that i didnt like he music (id never heard it at the time) i just didnt have the effort or desire to listen to someone named electronica...my boy eventually put me on to his songs, but without that id probably still have gone all this time without listening once
