well really besides those 5 there are 3 i'd maybe throw in the mix

but those 3 have noticeable knocks on any arguement for top 5, while the other 5 have very little u can say against them.....mainly biggie not putting out much material (like big pun and big l) and being fairly one dimensional with the exception of a song for bitches every now and then

yeah that's true ... but didn't they have some kinda dissagreement ? ... ionno ....didn't they claim "creative differences" .... around that time though he featured on a few aftermath tracks .... i always liked that remix track the watcher 2 ..he outshined the other 2 on that track i liked how rakim ended his verse ... shit was dope

nope. Ra has 7 albums. Eric B is just a DJ, so those with Eric B count to me. Rakim is top 5 hands down. He created the style and format that hip hop heads love today. That being an newfound emphasis on lyrics.

As for BIG being overrated...what an insult. No one was fucking with BIG when BIG was in his prime, and that was the golden age of hip hop. If Em came out when BIG was out, he'd be a nothing. Not to knock Em, but cats couldnt keep up with BIG when it came to this rap shit. And his storytelling, flow, and general presence on the mic will never be duplicated. No other spot but #1 in my book.
