How to revive this place

Here are a few ideas.

1. Have a very active Instagram account where we hype up our battles and battlers. Maybe even set up a “league system” where there’s portfolios for every rapper on the site? It might take a while to setup but social media hype is the easiest way to get attention.

2. Advertise on other sites. VerseTracker, RapGrid, RapPad, all good places with good rappers we could “sway” to get over here.

3. Stop dick-riding. I’m not gonna call out people who vote for dickriders, but a lot do. If you don’t give rookies a chance (and trust me, there at times where rookies had WAYYY better versed than vets and no one wanted to vote against the vets b/c “they must be right”. People are gonna leave if they spew good content that gets burned.

i like the enthusiasm, and yes we need to promote. here's the facts though.

1. owners aren't looking to advertise until new site is up. even at that point, they will be in charge of it, and there is little we can do to influence it. i have given my advice to x himself and offered my services but to my understanding, x and his brother will not allow mods to promote for their sake (in terms of twitter/insta/and any paid promotions) this also includes youtube.

2. if you want to help, we do have a soundcloud, and a facebook, and i myself run the soundcloud, and admin the fb page. so any ideas you have make sure to shoot them by me.

3. i get what you're saying, but it's a rare case when a rookie is better than a vet. most times it's just a multi anyways. it's best to let rookies learn from vets, and when they put out good content, they will honored with respect. look at edgeworth.

LetsBeef did some shit like this in 2006~... Back when people paid for Exclusive and fought to get into 64 man tournaments.

I believe it was a chance to get a verse from Lil Flip or some shit? I forgot how the promotion went

I like X and the powers that be, but let's be real here....they've been in the process of "updating the site" going on 2 years now. I honestly don't think it'll ever happen. It would be better for them to come out and just say that rather than make empty promises about updates and brand overhauls that we'll never see.

Now, I'm a member speaking on admin issues so I know that I'm not privy to all of the behind the scenes information, and no disrespect to them, because I love Letsbeef. But I think we should promote it regardless of where we are in the update process, especially with it taking so long.
