Any other daily carry gun folks here?
I'm still waiting for my license to show up in the mail but I'm already hating the inside of the waistband holster I got. I've been wearing it around the house and on my property just to get used to it being there and it's terrible. It's not really comfortable at all. I'm thinking about switching to an outside the waistband/on the belt holster. Indiana doesn't require you to conceal your weapon so if it peeks out under my shirt or something it's not really a huge deal. What do you guys do?

I have a concealed carry permit. But, I seldom carry my fire arm physically on my person when going out. I do when going somewhere I've never been before, though.

I only leave my house with an AK-47 in each hand and 3,000 rounds around my waist.

My little city is starting to get shit stained underwear on head, running around screaming about the Illuminati crazy so I'm looking to pack mine daily and pray to G-d I never have to use the damned thing except at a gun range.

It'll probably be a lot more in the People's Republic of California but I got in with a gun, a spare mag, a holster and three boxes of ammo for just under $300 I think. I wound up with a hi-point C9 so I could have something I wasn't afraid of abusing the shit out of while I was getting used to the whole pistol thing. I've shot them a bunch but never bought one for myself before. Just rifles and shotguns. The gun itself was roughly $175 and hi-points warranty is such that you don't even have to clean it. In fact, you send it to them for it to be cleaned. Which, is a little weird tbh but w/e. I'm lazy and if they want to do the work then it's whatever. Plus, the safety features, though a little annoying at times are nice for just beginning to actually pack a pistol ime. The slide lock will only function with a magazine in the gun. It does automatically lock back when an empty magazine is inside. The safety itself is nicely sized and there's a tactile click when it engages and if you're a hoarder like me it comes with a nice little yellow, plastic bullet with a tag that sticks out of the chamber so that you can easily see the gun is clear when storing it.
All that said, I'm already looking for another gun. The idiots at hi-point decided that the 9mm pistol and 9mm carbine should have different magazines and that's dumb and totally not what I want. If I had thought to research that I probably would have saved a little longer and picked something else because that's my end goal. A 9mm pistol and carbine and eventually something in .306 and a 12g. Unless I find a .45 pistol and carbine that share a mag and then I'm probably going to want that too. At the point the 9mms will probably go next to the squirrel guns I don't ever use anymore.

As a Brit this conversation seems so ridiculous. No one needs to walk around with a gun and if you think you need to walk around with a gun then you definitely shouldn't be walking around with a gun.

Where did you come to this conclusion? In your location that is for the most part, completely gun-less? Well, then I'd say no shit. Meanwhile in an area where guns are common, leveling the playing field becomes more intelligent than sticking to your belief that "no one needs to walk around with a gun."
You'd say no one needs to walk around with a bullet proof vest in an area where no one has ever been shot, too. It's completely relative to the situation you're speaking about, to me.

Levelling the playing field = You also having a gun? Yeah, cause what happens in these situations is two guys turn away from each other and walk twenty paces. Cool story Murica.
In actuality, what happens is one dude walks over to another one and shoots the fuck out of him. No gunfight, just one dude shooting another one, whether the dead dude had a holster or not.
Fuck your gun laws.
