Alias Tournament.

Posting up to see who would be interested in taking part.

The concept:

The aim of the game is simple. make your lines as relevant to your's, and more importantly, your opponents fictional Character as possible.


Start off small.

8 man
8 lines

Final
16 lines.

Every participant will be given a fictional Character to play, it will be a different character each round to prevent it from getting stale and to help keep their true ID's a secret.

To further keep ID's a secret:

There will be no public sign up. P.M me if you want in so I can pick the most reliable candidates. If you're in I will them message you all back one by one once i have my list of 8 along with your individual aliases.This way only you will know you're taking part and your alias. you will know your alias opponent once I make the match up's and announce them in the Text Lounge round by round.

Once you have your match up, you PM me your verses for me to post (my account vs my account) before the deadline. (I will keep track of who's who so don't worry about it)

(All I.D's will be revealed at the end of the tournament)

@RULE to offer reasonable suggestions for prizes. PM or in here whatevers best for you.

I think this is a dope idea, and will really make people focus on the verse, rather than who wrote it.

It MIGHT be better to get a couple guys on this to help, make 8 multis fresh alias_1 - alias_8
and post from those.

As petty as some people are, they may bitch it's on YOUR multi's, not that I give a shit.

but other than that gripe. Props on the idea. If you need help with anything, I'm game, but I'm not battling.

Word. The only problem with that is it might make things more complicated for a few reasons.

A) if you mean each participant makes it's own new account. (not everyone can. L.B a bit iffy with multi accounts. Some can make new ones, others it doesn't allow.

B) if you mean like Staff make them, bringing more people into the fold will inevitably complicate things for 1 reason or another.

Only other suggestion I have (but this will more than likely kill voting to a degree) is hold it in say the topical lounge for example. Assign each battle a thread and I just post both all verses under this account. I can keep each battle open for the regular 72 hours. It will just mean more promotion from me to get a good amount of votes in, which I don't mind.

If you want to keep a secret, best to tell no one.

If you can get it done in house, I don't really have issues. I'd rename the multi's you are going to use though, just for appearance sake and have someone wipe the battles when the tourney is finished so the records go back to the default number. (and to keep you from being accused for battling self)

Yeah alias 1 and alias 2 would be best.

I can always put the 'alias' names inside the box and in the first comment. I don't really want to be erasing the battles though. I guess that's where doing it in say the topical lounge would be better. We can keep them on record. Need to think about it.
