Old school rap vs. New school rap?

Which do you think is better? I think old school is better in terms of lyrics but as far as new school rap, it's more diverse and focuses more on instrumentals rather than lyrics so it's a bit uneven. Nowadays it seems like anyone can write a "hood" party song and get popular. I can do it right now:
