If you want to learn how to battle (assuming you don’t know already, which is true for most of us beginners), there’s a good guide under forums and then tutorials, made by Rule.

Alternatively, you can read some battles from the later rounds under the “tournament section”, or watch videos specifically on wordplay and rhyming (multi-word rhyme schemes are important).

To start a battle, go to battles and press “start a text battle” or “start an audio battle”

You don’t need a group to do battles, however, and the crew system is mostly just for people chill w/ each other or like minded interests.
