The percentages on battles are based on the total vp (voting power) of the people who vote for each battler. You calculated it at 50/50 because you can only see 12 votes...6 for him and 6 for you. But not all of those 12 votes weigh the same (have the same vp). Regular member vp weigh 2 by default, but may be reduced to 1 or 0 if a person has been deemed a hate voter or unfair voter in the past. So some of those votes had reduced or 0 vp. On top of that, there were 4 mod votes on that battle. Mod vote = 6 vp, and the results heavily favored your opponent. That's how it ended up being 78%-22%.

Can you check this battle and tell me how the fuck i got 22% and he got 78%. when i calculate it i shouldve won and wouldve been closer to mabye 40\60 or 50\50? how does this voting system even work???
