<div>..."<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Every</span> second of my life was hated with enmity. Being homeless made it hard to find my basic necessities: shelter, water, heat, food; bacon especially. Without a roof? My home was pretty much the pavement, essentially… Got to stealing clothes when feeling cold; evading the deputy. I’d do missions to soup kitchens despite my aching extremities; many health issues but where it was blatant was mentally. The docs would scoff because I couldn't pay for the remedies… Stigmas, discrimination; I was facing it endlessly; Alienation from mankind to the greatest of pedigrees. All the harassment made it tempting to sway to the weaponry but what helped me drown it out was the Grey & the Hennessey… holding a hand out for change left me with tainted integrity but they’d turn away due to my lack of braces & dentistry. The change I’d find was used for something known for changing a destiny; lottery tickets: the only way I can make it to seventy…...<span style="text-decoration: underline;">It</span> wasn’t til months later that something came skewing the plot; a day’s work of panhandling; it was humid and hot. Bought the ticket then went a block or two and then stopped; The TV at the store window: the usual spot… I joined the few and then watched, all consumed with a shock when the tv showed my number… who would have thought? I tried to keep my cool without a move or response as my fellow homeless people were all fumed & distraught… Once the crowd dissipated, tears ensued and then dropped, such a mess that couldn’t be cleaned with a broom or a mop. My mind awoke and the waterworks were subdued with a pause: I get to snooze! in a room! with a roof! & a cot!... Or get food from a shop; mmmmmm, noodles and sauce; or medicine whenever I have the flu or a cough. Get a bank account for funds, have some used for the stocks; Get a suit with some tops and matching shoes in a box… Go on a cruise with a yacht or purchase a coupe with a gloss; Take over a company so I am viewed as a boss; buying anything without thinking if it's stupid or not. With this newfound wealth, what I can do is a lot!......Now in the lottery office; await the loot that I've sought; was thinking of my own zoo - with an ewe and an ox; the radio was playing but in lieu of the song, there was a discussion that made me stay tuned to the talk… It was about the lottery & the truth of the pot: The windfall comes collectively from the group that have lost; a large percent being homeless; i never knew this was taught. I’ve been in their shoes, with holes infused in the socks… all the inequity that took away the groove from our walk; lacking hygiene & health care, abuse of the scotch; plans to get out of this hole getting ruined or botched by years of playing in the lottery: this proves it is wrong!......<span style="text-decoration: underline;">It</span> was soon after that I crafted a plan with this profound sense of duty to give the masses a hand. This foundation is for young & old, a lass or a lad, who are addicted to gambling - sinking & trapped in the sand… through counseling & education their path will expand; empowered to break free, not feeling frantic or sad. Cuz Once It “Settles Down” They Could See We Were on TOP OF THINGS!!…The Day Finally Came for Me To Board a Plane, Back To The USA..Friends, Family, and Normality Was Less Than 24 Hours Away…But The Truth is i Was Afraid, i Almost Wished i Could Stay..My Emotional State Felt like a Paper Plate Overloaded With an All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffet…A Year Later and Im a Felon On Paper, That Previously Served 90 Days as a Probate Violator cuz i Pissed Hot for Cocaine, Which I Tried To Deny Major…To Say My Escalated Altercations Alternated Alcohol Related Situations With Depression Was an Understatement..The Devastation it Created was a Social isolation That Can Only Be Described as Armor-Plated Decorated…Accumulated Frustration Activated Suicidal Contemplation and it’s Constant Circulation Indicated Motivation with Possible Coordination…AKA i Needed Help Before i Killed Myself, So i Turned Myself in and My Shorter Than Expected Journey Began..The Attorney and DA Worked Out a Plan to Make Me a Free Man Again, but i Had to Behave Straighter Than A Mannequin and “Turn My Life Around, 360” By Completely Becoming a Square Again…Get It? Follow Me Please, Spinning Around Makes 360 Degrees and a Square Has Four Angles That are 90 Degrees..Multiply Those Four Angles and The Sum is also 360 Degrees…After Jail i had no Where To go..okay, i admit to sleeping on Sidewalks, but i Never Called the Streets Home…Less Than a Year Later i Showed The Haters and Owned the Shaders..i Bought a Home and i can Only Thank God, Our Savior…When You are Doen in life, you think that there has to be more to it, There’s Gotta be..just Look at Me, i was Homeless, Then i Won the Lottery!!</div>

RhetoriK Admin Topical Champion Tag Team Champion	Battle of the tourney so far. Props to both writers. Both took vastly different approaches with Row coming full circle on the lottery win and what he did with it. Steel focused on the backstory and used the lottery win as a cliffhanger. Vocab was solid for both. Row's rhyme patterns made for an easy read. Steel's use of literary devices (example: alliteration) was cool as well. I edge this to Row. The wording made for an easier read overall. Steel definatley got the psychology of the character down better imo - just hit some rough patches that required another look at times. Row's ability to finish the piece out and come full-circle is his strength so far. Steel's outside the box approach on some angles was hella tough (the numerology/360 shit went hard).
