THE CLEANER

Both came correct on this, but one was levels above. I felt Ruje had a cleaner verse overall. Chris stepped up his game here and the punches have better setups than his usual but Ruje stayed in his pocket for the full verse and took this pretty easily. Fv is in

Nice battle here, but I think Ruje elevates with a more poignant and sharper use of the scheme in a battle-centric manner.

Eff: thought the start was good, but i feel like you packed one too many rhymes where they didn't belong just for the sake of packing in rhymes. From "w/ ill nursin ... real surgeon n his livers burstin" was kind of a shaky pattern that deviated from the scheme just a bit, REAL SUR-GIN, LIV-ers- BURST-IN.. etc, and then the final line that landed with the NIP CURSIN, and then the very next line ends with WITCH CURSIN, kind of was a shaky way to deliver that sequence. I actually do like the Witch like a lot though, the "rouge" is a "Bad spell" into Witch CURSIN was nicely done and if you had more of your punchlines / wordplay executed that precisely and concisely, i think this battle slides into your favor. Obviously I gotta say something about the MG lines: dude, you ruined your verse with those two. Not even being biased, but you kind of bit your chances of winning this round in my opinion by throwing that random shit in. Then you pick it up with the lift skirt line, but kind of let the multis ruin the angle once more with the Asgard references. The end of that doesn't really land and some of the setups, like "Fagheimer" really dilute a good chunk of the drop. Okay ending w/ the MIB reference but the punch left a bit to be desired still. Overall not a terrible drop and there was some promising parts of it in my opinion but where this entry for Eff really suffers was direction and execution as opposed to concepts which there were some good ones to build off of.

Ruje: I liked your execution of the scheme a bit better overall, and while it was short on punches compared to Effs... the visceral imagery lent itself to this specific battle well and the punches you did have were more direct and stronger connections. I think where the verse decidedly overcomes Eff's effort was the final few lines, where you picked a nice angle and some nice lines to end, "curl up hair/here" like big worms wig, and the 'experience w/ real work' like internships was just a good decision for the ending. The here/hair has been done so many times but i felt like you did enough to keep that fresh and it lent itself to the angle well. Some other standouts for the verse as well: breaker box, bitch learn quick.

One clarification: yes I get the Asgard references were in relation to Ruje's crew, I just felt some of the setups and the way that the final lines landed weren't the strongest put together and ruined some of the momentum that was built into the previous line. GB overall, though, both sides.

Nice drops gentleman. Winner had better punches here and more unique rhymes for his scheme. Both were solid but one was more fire

Good battle y'all. It seems you both did well with the scheme. Im not able to see the 3 syllables you're using posted in the comments but your ability to stick to the scheme made it easy to follow. I think this was close in some aspects. But the winner had a slightly better flow and usage of their rhymes. Which impacted the strength of their setup and punches. Solid battle and congrats to whoever makes it to the next round.

Felt one punched and worked with the scheme better here. Other forced a few of the multis in the scheme and also had one that was a syllable over the syllable count. Fair's in.
