I have Mac taking the win here. GG's bar, was good but i feel it was worded/read  awkwardly which took away from the impact.

EXPO:

Mad Macs/Max

BIG TYPO IN MULTI

HELD A WORTHY FLOW thinks after battling "Mad, Macs Getting A Free Ride"...L IS "FURY ROAD"!!

even then the bar wasn't exactly finished but you get the idea.

I liked both of these a lot. Saw that GG fixed a typo and read it again. I liked the 007 goldeneye mention, I played that when I was younger. The mad, max was pretty brilliant because he's talking about the auto win vs. Madverbs. It's a hard decision to make here but I think I'd like to see who I'm voting for advance to the next round.

GG, I saw your expo about the typo so I'll pretend that's what you actually dropped.

Alright so what GG had going for him was the personal angle plus double nameplay. I thought the wording here was awkward though, not super awkward, but more than I'd like to see from a tournament semi-final. "Thinks after battling Mad Max getting a free ride" - it's almost grammatical, but not quite. WORTHY / FURY is also a reach in my accent but maybe it works for you so idk. I also don't know what it means to call a loss a "fury road" so this may or may not be bad depending on your intentions for quoting it, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were quoting it just because it's the name of the Mad Max movie. The flow here was okay, not great though. And the concept ultimately wasn't doing it that much for me. It was okay, had the nice personal angle, but not great.

MacArthur, you had a bar which could have worked the same versus basically anyone, which automatically put you behind GG's personal attack. However, the flow was way above his and the punch was more creative too IMO. So you were ahead of GG in every other way.

So, GG was ahead in one way but MacArthur otherwise was dominating here, so I'm going with MacArthur. Good battle to both. Fair's in.

Got MAC' taking this.  Bar was smooth and connected well ..punch was decent

Grief had a good concept and set-up but the punch wasn't impactful..that's the only reason I gave this to Mac..

props to both!

MacArthur's bar was overall just highly unsatisfactory. The setup was very sloppy and the punch itself landed decently as the double meaning with the expo included made sense, however, it felt very forced. Props to him for presenting a rather interesting and new (from what I've seen) concept to the table but just didn't cut it here. The structure need serious work as well but if anything else his multi's were pretty nice but next time try structuring the bar better.

Good Grief easily takes this battle and should be taken an example of to his opponent. The setup for his punch was super clean. His multi's were just one syllable inferior to his opponent's, however, the responder still easily pulls this with a punchline that hits such much harder even though it needed an expo as well. I believe was really made it impactful was how personal the responder's bar was towards his opponent.

I found this to be a really clever battle. Mac had an original punch that, once I got the expo, made a lot of sense, plus with all those multis it flowed really smoothly. GG I think I see the direction you wanted to take this, and it's a real shame you accidentally sent in a draft because the finished version of this could have been truly brilliant. Unfortunately it just didn't come across as cogently as I think it needed to to win here, although I definitely appreciated the intent.
