This was an entertaining round here. Both had good bars. Esso's was more of a personal approach which is good though for me, the multis are rhyme awkwardly in parts which throws the bar off when reading. GG's bar had a certainly fresh punchline and was a dope concept, imo. Though it feel like the set up line was kinda 'just thrown in' in a way... would have been better, (imo), to have something in relation to discounts/purchase's etc... Tough one to call here... very close. Both have 'out of the box' concepts and i do like their creativity with their pieces. Leaning towards GG for what comes off as a smoother read to me. Best of luck to both.

Expo: He lost to Noir in the GC largely because of nameplays where the French pronunciation of Noir was done incorrectly/forced. Wrap ones head around = understand. Americans are often ethnocentric and don't embrace/understand things that are foreign.

i got one taking this with a smoother flow the other had the ideas but the sound was a lil off with the multis. fair vote. GL guys. stay safe.Yezzir.

First off I want to mention how both of these had rhymes that don't really work for me although I know they work for other people so I'll overlook it.

GG's setup toed a fine line between being overly specific and making the flip more impactful. Not sure how I feel about calling bars "goods." I'm leaning towards it being a reach.

Esso's bar wasn't structured as a punch in the traditional sense of setup-flip, but it still hit pretty nicely. The personal angle made this bar hit harder.

Overall, a very close battle but what I think edges this for Esso is the personal aspect. Everything else was pretty much evenly balanced in terms of good aspects and flaws. Fair's in.

This is really close! The expos in the comment section came in really handy in this one. I like Grief's perch/discount bar and took me a while to realize his name is "Good" Grief and almost blew off the ending. That is a sick ass bar! Esso, your bar is also very nice. I had to scroll down and read your expo because I wasn't aware of anything that went down in a previous GC including GG, but your bar makes a lot of sense now, and that's pretty funny if you ask me. I'm not revealing my vote because of how close this is, and it might change before submitting it. Good read here, thanks guys.

This was nice. I liked the double flip from both. I think this was pretty damn close. I was just feeling ones bar a bit more due to creativity. I'm keeping my vote concealed for now...g'luck to the winner next round. 

Both of these bars are creative, but they both have their hangups. GG, your concept was dope, but the set up being forced in my opinion kinda took away from the overall delivery and impactfulness of the bar. Esso, your relevance throughout your bar and staying consistent with the personal jabs all the way through was dope too, but your punch seemed forced. Pardon and Foreign don't go well together in my opinion. So I had to go with who had the better bar overall with all things considered. Fair is in.

Both came with well-executed bars, I thought GG's was more clever but Esso had a better angle. That made this very hard to judge but I have a winner just edging this one.
