GRIEF. First line really hurt the impact of the bar for me . The way you have it written... "Old Celsius? his TIME'S IN GRADATION", dosen't make sense, atleast to me. For a few reasons. Like...I get the tie in with the retirement bit, but it's a loosely relevant multi to fit the concept. Could have d ok be without it. Also, what does graduation have to do with retiring on a resort n walking with a cane, if when you graduate from high school or college, you are young and no where near the retirement age ( which is 65yrs old) I think. I like the link multi in the second line, nice setup. Now. The last line didn't have much of a flip and was a weak double meaning. I've seen you do much, much better, creatively speaking. The wording here is off and hurts the impact even more. I get 2jat you're saying but saying "hell "Walk With A Cane and Resort To Retire" needed a bit of tweaking to work properly as far as English goes. The Resort part of it is what I'm referring to. Saying hell walk with a cane and resort to retire, isnt right, because how does one "resort to retire"? Would be resort to retirement. All in all this bar was a good idea but taking the first line out would have saved space for A). A different idiom altogether or B). More space to get the last line right grammatically. Good concept though. And a nice way to start out the tourney. 

Cel....nice bar. Actually like it. Sucks you put all your money in the jackpot here though, it cost you you, only because he didn't come with a biting bar, would have had a lot more impac . If he had. It was a nice idea, presented cleanl . And execution was top notch. 

Gotta give this to GG for having the more thought out bar, despite the few slip ups I pointed out. Felt this deserved a proper expo. Good joint here, boys. Respect to both writers, as yall been doing this for 10+ years and are still here. Thanks for the read guys. I'm out.

This is an extremely close battle. I've started writing up a vote about 5 times now and been distracted and lost it, and each time I go to start again my vote switches to the other guy. Ultimately here's how I've finally made my decision:

GG: I thought your punch idea was cool, but the execution was really lacking. Times in gradation was just a weird, forced-seeming multi. The actual flip didn't make grammatical sense either way it was read, and I don't mean that in the nitpicky obscure way, but in such a way that a normal person just wouldn't ever say it. Cane N resort/Canaan resort was all you were really flipping, and it wasn't an amazingly deep idea either. Your punch did land squarely on your opponent, it was just set up very poorly. Not terrible by any means, but I expected far more from someone of your calibre.

Cel: Obviously you got absolutely done here expecting the rum bitty bar. If GG had used a rum bar at the same level as his bar here you would certainly have won. Your bar was pretty cleanly executed, although the punch itself was relatively simple I quite liked it. However, it completely lost 90% of its impact due to the fact that GG didn't use a rum bar. Banking on someone using an obvious and topical personal is generally safe in a longer battle because they're more likely to fit it in somewhere and you have other bars to fall back on if they don't; but in a one-bar it's Russian roulette. Your punch was good but it barely touched him.

So essentially I had to toss up between a weak punch that landed and a strong punch that hardly did. 

Both delivered here. Nicely set up with dope flips. This comes down to personal preference & Cel was just a bit more creative with it if u ask me.

Cel took this one imo.. his bar had a nice creative punch where he used his own personal to his advantage 

Grief..Punch was ok..didn't really have any sting imo. But the bar was consistent..

Fairs in

One was more on point overall, better w the basics while keeping it advanced. Felt like the other forced his wording but had a decent concept. 

Pretty even here, felt like both had rough starts but both finished strong. Going with GG here for the 3 sets of multi's and relevancy throughout his bar. Cel had a good personal but it also put him down by bringing it back up, feel like the rhyming was there but it was more a jab then a punch. Fair's in fellas, good battle here from 2 old battlers.

felt like one was connexting well but he couldve added the word like to make it sound better the other was decent but a simple broken sylable rhyme hurt him here. fairs in.
