Noir is also known as Bleu (new account). Tying the knot means marriage (frog & hog like the muppets Kermit and Ms piggy). Cordon Bleu is a kind of chicken. A DS is a game boy with 2 screens that fold in half. Rogue steals skills from other mutants through touch. Norma Jean= Marilyn Monroe. JAY Z and Kanye have daughters named Nori and Blue.

Good matchup here in the semi final. Both had some nice stuff here. Noirs opener was cool but my favorite two lines followed that. Back to back punches, simple, clean, impactful. Last two punches were legit too. Bartered death was the low point. GG opener was good, wrapped/save play with the chicken cordon Bleu was clever. Rogue punch was dope but the two Noir wps to end it were probably the weakest lines. Gotta lean toward Noir for being a little more consistent. Good shit though by both.

Re-casting my vote due to voting issues via RULE's request.

I thought Noir's standout bars were his opener (botb), the Bryants punch and the closer. His weakest bar was the "barred ta death" one because 1) I didn't really buy that "barred ta" sounds the same as "bartered", 2) "bartered death" just sounds like a really weird way of phrasing it that honestly doesn't sound natural at all or even make that much sense logically and 3) 'barred ta death' also just doesn't make a great deal of sense to me because "barred" is not a verb I've ever heard used in this context at all.

GG's standout punches were the Cordon Bleu bar, the Nintendo DS punch (2nd best botb) and the Rogue punch. Weakest points were the two wordplays at the end involving "Noir" because that isn't how its pronounced at all, and knowing that the pronunciation is "no-wahh-er" (pardon my terrible attempt to express it) is common enough that I think a reasonable average person would (like me) not get the wordplay the first time and find it confusing. The concepts behind the bars were cool, but even if Noir was pronounced like nor the bars wouldn't  really sound overly natural.

Both battlers brought some fantastic ideas here, my winner got this by basically being a tad more consistent. Good luck to whoever goes through to the final!

Noir:Thought the opener was nice...it was simple yet effective and haven't seen the idea yet. Up to know good was nice. Bob lazar was fire really liked that punch although I thought that "craft shit" could've been more creative. Bryant punch was nice. The barred to death was maybe the weakest. The wp doesn't work...at least in my accent I say it bar·ter not barred ta. Take a turn for the worse was nice. Finisher wasn't as strong as the rest of the bars that hit. GG: Huge slant rhyming ANY and PIGGGIES. It was a nice concept and idea but the slant ruined it for me. I have seen the cord on bleu punch like 5x before so that bar didn't hit that well even though it was nicely executed. In your defense...he doesn't have an account any more so you can't see that others have used it. DS punch was pretty cool but no one really refers to Dead Sec as DS?. Rejected beat samples was dope. Rogue from xman was nice. Noir mah genes inside you? The wp doesn't work both ways. This bar fell flat as I also recall that Bleu beat you in your only battle before this. Finishing bar was a great idea too but once again the wp doesn't work both ways. Overall: I had Noir taking this battle. More consistent punches that landed. GG your last two rounds were so much better than this one. I feel if you brought the same type of ish you brought your last round...this could of been your W. Good battle to both of you and g'luck to whoever wins next round. 

Yoooo this was a fire battle. Honestly this may have been the best battle I've read in a long time. Ima be honest here I read noirs verse and was like yo not sure Grief gonna be able to match that. The up to no good bar was fire, shit wasn't flying, opener was dope .. thought it lost a lil steam towards the end but still a dope ass verse. Then I read GG verse and tbh bro that was one of the best tourney verses I've read in awhile. There were mad quotable and it was about even the  Kermit bar, the Nintendo bar, all that was even with blues until you got to the Marilyn Monroe bar!! Bro.... that was one of the most fire name flips I've read on LB period. I get excited when I see bars like that. Closer was good. Basically noirs wording was better but GG edged with more bars that made me go wow. It was down to basically a couple bars and once I read the Marilyn Monroe bar it was a no brained for me GG took this but one of the best battles in a while props to both

So I was really digging this battle. Thought Grief had a dope verse and really liked a lot of his shit. Was fairly consistent and had some haymakers and the less damaging punches were generally still nice. I would say GG landed more often then Noir.

Noir had some nice shit. I hadnt seen Joker so having to watch media to get the bar isnt ideal. Its pop culture that I should get but I didnt and that detracts a little. I thought noir was less consistent but had higher highs than GG. Specifically the Kobe bar. It's the first kobe bar I've seen here since his death. It wasnt too crass or disrespectful to kobe but damned if that bar wasnt crack. The name flip, the timeliness of the current event. That bar was enough to close the gap and have me edging this to noir. Glad to the winner cus this went in. Gonna have a crazy final on our hands.
