This was a pretty solid battle, so in the end the one I felt that had the better punches came out. 

i thought this was pretty close GG eally creative and NY nice wp here....interesting.. but felt one edged this w more impact and more advance levels. fairs in. GB....GL to both

This was a lot closer than I expected it to be. Not because one came lite but because the other stepped up and this was a pretty good bout here. Solid concepts from both but I do felt ones concepts were cleaner than the others and that ultimately was my deciding factor with my vote. Good stuff from both. 

Close battle here. Nyvilly surprised me with some of his ideas here. Christian Mingle was clever and the rolls off the tongue line was funny. A couple lines like Israelite and filing the box though have been done to death and there were spots where the wording coulda been more concise. GG's Wright bro's nameplay was a big reach but the reversible jacket line was BOTB plus he had a couple more creative and impactful lines than his opponent so I'm leaning that way in a close one. 

Hard to pick a winner here. GG had some punches I like, such as reversible jackets, but also some that were super boring (Navy sniper) or ridiculous reaches, like Wright brother (the Wright brothers weren't shot down lol) or choir club (any wordplay that needs an entire line to expo it is probably a reach). Nyvilly also had some punches I didn't like, such as the ridiculously pauseworthy scheme about GG tossing salads and the nonsensical 'jujitsu in a junkyard' punch, but there were more ups than downs, with lines like boring people on Christian Mingle (bar of the battle), israelite, and filling the box. Very tough to decide on a winner, but I'm going to with Nyvilly based on the following equation: bad bars cancel each other out, and medium bars cancel each other out, so I'm picking based on who had the best bar, and that was Nyvilly. Fair's in.

Nyvilly that christina mingle bar was fucking fire! Good grief the scooby doo from cyber chase bar was my fav from you and it was well written. My winner was more consistent and barely missed in my opinion. Loser was definitely fighting back but i think he got overpowered here. Votes in 

Battle was pretty much as i expected it to be good came with the wordplays while nyvilly had the metaphors. The only difference was who came up to the best of their ability. Good definitely brought his A game the wright brothers and reversible  jackets were lines were fly. couldn't understand the relvance of the navy sniper bit tho but imma let it slide while Nyvilly really had the weakest lines i have seen from him in his opener but picked up with the filling in the box line lol plummet was a clever wordplay which did not hit as hard as it should have coz it's set up was felt fillerish. Submit trash was dope. did n't dig the MCu much tho. as i did not dig much of good's scooby line but the only difference i think was the use of personals which is why bar for bar good was ahead there. closer was ok. overall i am just gonna go with good for bringing a verse more resonant with his A game here while NYvilly brought one much below his A game and didn't come off as smooth or hard hitting.

This battle really surprised me. As of writing this I haven't decided who I'm voting for, so I'll try work through that by explaining how I saw both verses.

GG, your opener had a lot of potential and I think the wordplay was something I could envision working phonetically and did make sense grammatically. However, logically I didn't get it. Will n Orville Wright were never shot from the sky. You could argue they were shot into the sky by their rudimentary take-off systems I guess, but that's not what you said. The logical failing of the punch to make sense and convey what it actually meant basically killed the whole bar. The next bar made logical sense, but unfortunately the wordplay didn't sound natural at all either way it was read. "Ten or less minutes" should be "ten minutes or less" if it was being spoken by a native speaker of the English language in a normal conversation, and "all your toes will be cut short" is not the way anyone would word that threat. Maybe if you'd said "all toes/altos get cut off n we're just getting started", this punch would have sounded natural and actually been threatening, but as it was another bar was ruined by forced and unnatural wordplay. The reversible jackets line was smooth and clean, but it was never going to be more than a light jab. Scooby Punch was a solid punch but I don't think there was enough difference in the meanings for it to be a haymaker (what I mean by that is hard to explain in a vote but if you're curious hmu in IMs). Zoinks was a cool adlib. "If I rated how retarded you are I'd say 8 or 9 out of 10!" seems like a very schoolyard insult, but it was just the setup so I'll give it a pass. I haven't seen Baby Driver but judging by your expo it's a very clean and effective bar, solid overall. Your closer was very simple and basic ("scoping out" means very similar things in either meaning, if there's a wordplay I'm missing I apologise but if that's all it is it's very basic stuff from such a creative writer), but it was clean and got the job done.

Nyvilly, if this was an 8 line battle I think you definitely would have won (I still haven't decided while writing this) based on the strength of the first half of your verse. Your opener was simple but clean and had you landing punches from the start, even if it was just a jab (hit on the heir/hit on the air isn't creative enough for an opener though, really try go for something that's clean AND out of the box to be memorable). The Christian Mingle bar was worded a little weird but in a way that still made sense and the concept was a funny one. The filling the box concept was funny, clean and a very hard punch which landed fully. The "plumb it/plummet" wordplay was pretty basic and landed as a very light jab. The "jujitsu in a junkyard" one was where you started to go off the rails though. Grammatically this one worked out for the most part (although my knowledge of jujitsu jargon is pretty limited so maybe it didn't idk) but conceptually it was just not working. The idea of rubbish tapping out because GG has it in a headlock is nonsensical and your lines need to be believeable either way they're read. It is possible to have laughably ridiculous concepts that actually work because of how outlandish they are, but this is a very hard thing to do and I don't think you landed it this time. The fireman punch just didn't make much sense grammatically or logically (the multi seemed hella forced), and then the MCU punch had hella potential but the wordplay didn't work both ways ("cause as an MCU are struggling" doesn't make sense) so you lost your impact and it didn't land. The next line was fine, pretty basic again just landing a jab really. "Newbish slight dud" just seemed a bit forced as the next multi, which unfortunately took away from what was a solid enough closer although I think you needed to make your double meaning more apparent by wording it like this: cause "I already know your best punch, Israelite" like the champ in a JEWISH FIGHT CLUB! (is real light). 

Overall I thought this was very tough to call. GG's ideas were several steps ahead of Nyvillys, but so many were lost to illogical and ungrammatical executions. Nyvilly landed more punches, but very few bars stronger than a jab actually landed. For me this comes down to strength vs consistency. I'm really unsure who will win this but I have my decision by the narrowest of margins. Good luck to whoever wins.

Nice lil battle here, it could've gone either way. And tbh it seemed a lil sluggish, some of the concepts didn't quit hit right on both parties. But we need a winner so..my winner takes it with a slightly more creative verse, this was kinda close imo tho
