Good spar here, fellas. Both had good concepts, though ones were better executed with a smoother flow between bars. Feel one had stronger & heavier punches than the other. Good luck to both. Fairs in, I’m out.

I had to read this a few times before I could find a winner. Good Grief started out underwhelming. Jenner rate a good bar? Nah. He picked up steam toward the middle, maintaining the rhyme scheme and hitting well with 3-4 punches in a row. Closer was a good idea that woulda killed with better wording. WarSand definitely more outside the box. I wish you'd been more concise with the Edwin Smith and Buffalo Bills punches because they were fire ideas that got bogged down by overly long setups. Closer was good...two punches to end it were simple but effective. Real close imo but got my winner for having a longer stretch of consistently impactful lines.

I think both did pretty nice here. i think GG had more capped multis but WS had more setups. Good went hard on the rich sanchez line that was pretty dope good rhyme there. War had the texan verse which i thought was pretty witty with the u know the deal line. Im voting though for the person who edged this a bit harder with the punches. fair vote.

good shit overall, first verse had some reaches like the opener, had some dope bars in the middle portion and had an ok closer. felt the ideas were strong just some of the punches could have hit harder. second verse had its share dope bars as well think he could have been a bit more direct as the verse lacked a little sting to me but was an enjoyable read nonetheless.

close battle but i got a kick out of one verse a bit more

Hate voting on these when it's two heavy weights going toe to toe with nothing but spectacular bars. My winner had a punch more then his opponent but the actual reality is this one will go down by preference and nothing less/more. Vote concealed, keep grinding

My summary of this battle: It was full of subtle reaches. Not anything that jumped out at me as a shoulder-stretcher, but reaches nonetheless.

Starting with GOOD GRIEF - every single line in your verse had some aspect that sounded abnormal. The Jenner Rate / Generate thing was so obviously shoehorned that it hurt to read. Who calls some group an "E-Mob" in normal speech? Nobody. Calling that group of three a Trinity makes sense, but it's just not something you would normally say ("trio" or maybe "trifecta" would be more natural). A bitch being an apron? Well, the analogy makes sense, but still a reach. And the closer wordplay was just forced to all hell in terms of how it was meshed into the bar, even though it pretty much worked phonetically. Other than this verse blowing the top off of the FORCE CHART, the execution was pretty good. Rhyming was solid except for the SAND DOESN'T PAY multi.

WarSand, I expect better from you based on your past performances. I don't think your reaching problem here was as pervasive as GG's, but none of your punches really had OOMPH behind them. First off, how many people who will vote on this battle have heard of the Edwin Smith papyrus? In all likelihood, I'm in a minority of one there. And you pretty much just made the same statement twice without adding an actual flip - you're going to teach him about the illness like a papyrus that teaches you about an illness. Okay. Same with the Mayans bar (kinda clever) and the legacy is dying bar (painfully obvious, you can see where it's going from a kilometer away), voice impressionist (same thing)... Really, this whole verse felt like a lazy keystyle, or at best, something rushed out last-minute.

I've got to give it to GOOD GRIEF here, even though I could (and largely did) rip into every line in his verse for causing subclinical tendon pain. WarSand simply didn't have the horsepower to counteract his opponent here. Bar of the battle was probably the Neo's chick line. Fair's in.

This was a good battle I think grief started off great, wordplay was on point but I think towards the end it wasnt as hard hitting (I did like the pickle line thought), overall solid verse. War the beginning, to me, was hard to follow. But the voice impressionist bar was fire though. Then you picked up. Solid verse as well.  My vote is going to grief cause he had real clever wordplay and well connected punches. War you did great too tho.

Good reads here from both. My winner had a more well rounded verse with some clever wordplay. One had potential to do alot more with what they were presenting but my vote can only go to the better verse.

Pretty solid showing from both. Both had some solid concepts going for them. Felt GG had a little more impact with his concept/punches. War was pretty solid as well. Just felt one more than the other.

Very close one here. I am leaning WarSand's way ever so slightly because he had a couple punches I was feeling more and I think while GG had some creativity in his wordplays and ideas, he may have reached a bit for concepts and some technical wording mishaps took away from the punch strength. Basically I thought both had decent highs but GG might have had lower lows. I could see this one going to GG easily as well though since WarSand did go a little bit obscure here with his references. Each persons  BOTB To me was the matrix line from GG and the closer from WarSand

I put off voting on this one until last because it's a very tough battle to call and a serious contender is gonna get knocked out of the GC in the first round. Let me just start by saying that these verses were both very creative and you both did well here, but because I know you can both do so much better I am going to be brutal for the rest of my vote.

GG, I really wasn't feeling your opener. Firstly, "Kendall/little" just doesn't work for me, maybe the second syllable but certainly not the first. But more importantly, the Jenners don't rate clubs. It's not something they do, so it just sounded ridiculous. Pair this with the fact that it's a "bar/club" punch, and it's really not looking good. This would be ok if you were sniping some noob in the first round I guess, but I'm shocked you brought it against WarSand. The next bar seemed quite unnatural too, the final multi seemed a little forced but I could imagine someone saying it, but I wasn't really buying the "Good E-mob" thing. Your third bar was your first real hit, I got the reference and liked it, and I thought it was a clean bar, although not too hard-hitting. I know some other people disagree with me on this one but I actually like the apron punch, it's quick and simple and builds nicely into the kidnapping narrative to come. I had to do a lot of googling to work out what the Witcher punch meant, I even asked a bunch of people and they didn't know and you could easily have expoed this and made my life so much easier. Besides confusing me on my first read (and second, and third) this didn't hurt you directly, and I think it was actually a very clever concept, but maybe a bit of an obscure concept for a bar especially with no expo. The Rick Sanchez bar seemed a little played and wasn't very hard but it was decent; the "few neural" wordplay just doesn't work for me at all. I initially assumed it was an accent thing but none of my American friends from all across the country get it either. Also, the wording was off and it didn't make grammatical sense both ways, and I've tried really hard to think of how it could work both ways if you changed 1 letter (which is the leeway I always try to give in case its a typo) but I just couldn't. Overall, some creative ideas in your verse (and some bad ones) but very few landed properly due to poor execution. You really need to step this up if you make it through, I've seen you do much better.

WarSand, your opener was literally the same thing repeated three times. "I'm sick but not infected, I have medicine but not medically, I have information about illness without a text about illnesses". All of these were really basic as well, which was a massive shame because the Edwin Smith Papyrus concept had real potential and you could have been much more creative with it and had a fantastic opener. The Mayan calendar punch was decent, but I really didn't get what the Mind Fuck (RIP) punch was about here. I got the Legacy HoF bit, but I didn't really get how that connected to GG, and if it did I'd have liked to have seen that expoed. The voice impressionist bar was very simple ("I'll sound like other people like someone who sounds like other people") but then the Venom punch was very dope, and the botb in my eyes. I got the American football punch because someone explained the Texans/bills thing to me, but please expo these in future because not all voters are American or watch sport. Your closer was pretty tight with a nice 1-2 punch, and although neither was especially hard-hitting or complex they both landed well.

One thing I've noticed in my expos on both verses is that I recommended you expo more. I personally am trying to avoid writing expos in my own verses because mine are always long winded and take away from the readability, but I think in this case expos were necessary because you guys were using quite specific references and ideas here. Either avoid picking niche references, or please expo them, because a lot of people won't bother googling your bars and it could really cost you. Plus we don't all know the history of every battler well, so your personals may not always be clear to everyone.

Ultimately my vote (which I decided while writing this) goes to the verse I thought was more effective. I think Grief came with some really interesting and clever concepts but failed to make them land as hard as they should have, whereas WarSand by and large came with really basic flips that were just executed cleanly enough to land jabs. It was tough to call, and could go either way, good luck to the winner either way going forward.

fucking dope ass battle i mean what the actual fuck did i just read kinda shit from both here. DAYUM i could masturbate to this !! the major difference maker here for me was that good set up ot lead up to his punches with punches while ex used jabs but strong ones (if that makes any sense) in a few areas which made one's verse much more impactful overall with the wordplays giving him an extra edge in creativity too.

None of the battlers had any lows at all here imo. just that good could fit in more highs due to his choice of set ups and that why imma go with him here. fucking insane battle nonetheless though, shit i learnt a thing or two myself just by reading too. Definitely the battle of the tourney so far.
