This was a very enjoyable battle to read. It's a real shame Brayne ran out of time but props for posting something, it's always a shame if a contender's GC run is marred by no-shows. This was obviously a landslide win for Shodan in that he had a very well-written battle verse with consistent punches of a high calibre.

Sho I'm gonna try give you as much feedback as I can here to help with moving forward in the GC. I really liked your opener, it's a punch I haven't really heard anything similar to before. I'm not entirely convinced that pronunciation can be used the same way as proclamation, but this is something I only noticed looking back on it and it may well just be that I'm really tired right now. The taser punch was very long and I don't think the flip was sufficiently strong to justify that. You could have made the setup much shorter and still landed a punch that was just as hard. The scheming through this section in general was really nice though and gave it a great flow, although there were some big gaps between multis that hurt that in places (like between TEXAN GUYS SPEAKIN and GUESS THE RIGHT THINGS N). The dental hygienist had much better spacing between multis and I liked the punch a lot. The "sets of guys leaning" threw me a little because I don't really envisage a dental hygienist working on a set of people at once, I think it might have helped to change this multi slightly to be more intuitive both ways. The sobriety test bar was really good imo as far as the punch went, although due to its length I think it needed another multi or at least some internal rhyming. There was a long passage from "DENTAL HYGIENIST" to "EVEN THOSE GUYS'LL REJECT" with no rhyming, and coming after such a well-flowing, frequently-rhyming schemed passage this seemed much worse than it actually was due to the jarring change of multi spacing. Having googled it the ASDR punch seems really nice, but I don't know the subject matter well enough to go more in depth than that. The sub sandwich bar really has me torn. Working through it, "the sub machine gun" does make sense, but I'm just really unsure if it's natural wording, which really threw what could have been a really cool bar. I don't think the bar would ever be a haymaker though, "I'll squirt you with a machine gun like getting squirted on by a machine called a gun" just isn't enough of a flip and is the kind of thing you'd want to avoid bringing against top-seed battlers in the late rounds of the tourney. Your closer was fine, although I think you could have picked a stronger bar to close with. It was a less original concept than many of your earlier bars and was quite predictable, the execution was fine but it was a bit of a let down to close such a great verse with. I'm not sure how helpful this feedback will be since I'm really tired and being nitpicky, but hopefully at least some of it is of use going further in the GC.

Brayne thank you for making something entertaining. Your opener cracked me up and the adlibs were perfect. I'm not gonna break it down and lambast you with critique for obvious reasons. Since I've obviously voted for Shodan, I'll be checking my inbox for those promised unsolicited dick pics. Don't disappoint.

I got sho taking my vote here. Solid outing by both. Felt one cane more prepared though. Better punches and concepts got the win here.

Shodan was pretty solid all throughout, I didn't get the opener until I read the expo lol but the followup had me laughing. But the one after that ... Hygienist is pronounced "Hai-jeh-nist" (I even googled it) so it didn't fit the scheme unless its forced to hell and back. I don't really have any complaints after, I was fucking with the mixing audio line... Brayne had a solid opener Lmao, I was digging it a lot, stuck to the concept well and had a solid punch to follow through with it. But then it felt drawn out and forced during the Tazmanian line imo, and then had the really stretched setup in your line afterwards. And really just kept going up and down throughout.. You either hit, or you missed entirely in my opinion.

Shodan got this one due to Brayne just completely fucking around but tbh, with some of the BATS that Sho dropped, I think a Brayne Ded at full capacity could have pulled this one out. Not sure if Shodan was counting on the no show or what, tbh. 

felt like one was more consistent the other was decent but not enough punch material compared to opponent. one was more creative w creative material. and was more uplifting so i think that one got this round. fv no h8

I have shodan winning this with more complex setups and harder punches but honestly if brayne had come full strength he may have been able to get the upper hand due to some weird things in shos verse.

Looking back the other jacked multis were just a case of capping more than you should have. Like EVEN THOSE GUYS'LL REJECT (7) FIELD SOBRIETY TEST (6) the syllable count is off but THOSE GUYSLL REJECT(5) SOBRIETY TEST (5) work.

And diSPENCING SAUSE FOR SANDWICHES  and SEVERED TOP WITH HALF THE CLIP. like. SAUCE FOR SANDWITCHES and TOP WITH HALF THE CLIP works but SPENCING and SEVERED dont rhyme so it gives the illusion that the multis dont work, when they really do but are written weird like your trying to disguise a 5 syllable multi as a 7 syllable multi. 

man second verse was funny but didn't have the same wit or better setups, rhymes were slanted with the first verse (hygenist part was off) but execution was pretty good and enough for me to make a decision
