IMO, one was more consistent throughout the whole verse which edged this to them. One started off real solid but let up at the end, which hurt their drop but they still had enough to pull through. The other, for me, did not connect much for the 1st half of their verse. A few cool concepts but I think wording, w off delivery took away from what it could have been. Which is unfortunate considering the last few bars were pretty solid. Congrats to all y'all & props to the winners, my votes in.

Lock won 7 titles.. after the GUY RULE LEFT! so u only “Made The Cut” when i was “Out Of The Picture” like a SPITEFUL EX!! The “point? Find ur groove.” Cause u wouldn’t “scratch the record” as a VINYL SET a DJ MIGHT COLLECT!! -  He hangs w/me, and Eth’s not “chill? E’s getting cooked,” he’ll get SQUARED N DICED WITH CLEAVERS. Next if it’s Lock who “peppered in shots,” where they’ll find ur body? That’s a CAROLINA, RIEPER!!

- Both Hype, Metas, Punches - The flow was crazy, not expecting to actually be able to read it like i've rehearsed it befor or some shit. both had excellent style. 10 - 10. I'd give high if i could Real Talk. The above is what really got me though. that shit was Fire.

All around this was a very enjoyable battle. In the end it was a close call, but a number of little things were the deciding factor in this for me.

RUZN, your opener was solid and effective, and built into the next punch quite well. The whole record concept is quite stale, but you had an interesting enough take on it that it made a solid opening, although it wasn't original enough to be a haymaker. The next bar built on the same insult, which I don't think personally was a damaging enough idea ("you were really successful while I was away but now I'm back you won't be") to warrant this much attention, although the punch itself was executed cleanly and effectively. The next bar was the Carolina Reaper bar. This is a very clever and personal concept with the potential to be hard-hitting, which is probably why I've seen it used so many times. It was executed well enough, but the concept is becoming so over-used that it left little to no impact on me, to the point where while writing this vote I got it confused with a different bar and had to go back. "dead giveaway rule = inheritance law" had me on the fence, but I guess it makes enough sense that I was willing to buy it. I don't know what it was about the gardening line, but it just didn't land for me. The "Riep what you sow" thing I've seen before but I think you used it well here, but the rest of it I just wasn't feeling. The '//' which I assume indicated switching from RULE to REZN I wasn't a massive fan of, it gave the impression that RULE had contributed more than REZN whereas you could have made it more seamless or worked off each others lines to be more effective, but that might just be my preferences in tag battles. The next bar was a nice concept, I have no idea if EtH wants to be a game dev so I'm not sure how personally applicable it was but in general I thought it was a nice concept. However, "we not structurally the same" isn't something I think I've ever heard a person say before. On first read I glossed over it, but coming back this multi really threw me off and seemed forced, which took away from the bar badly. The final bar was solid enough, although "QUICKLY TURNED" really distracted me because it seemed like a rhyme but as far as I can see it doesn't rhyme with anything.

Overall your verse had a lot of solid punches, and was quite consistent in level of quality. The game dev concept was the only concept that really stood out to me, I thought the rest were reasonably tame (the Carolina Reaper one wasn't but I've just seen it that much that it may as well be).

RiEtH, your first bar up to 'playing the dame' was clean enough, but I thought the punch was quite simple and honestly it left me feeling underwhelmed. The next line though made me laugh out loud so hard I had to pretend I was coughing to the people around me. The mental image was hilarious, and the two bars built into each other nicely. The next bar was clean enough, didn't stand out to me massively although it was a solid enough punch. The next bar was nicely tied into recent events and again made me laugh, it took a few seconds for my brain to comprehend it but when it did I really liked it. The pyramids bar I wasn't so sure on, again "rules built upon the work of others = pharaonic system of Egypt" was something I guess I was willng to buy but it took away from the punch quite a bit, in general it would be great if everyone gave RULE nameplays a rest for a while. The next punch was solid and had a bit of personal/shock factor going, and I recently saw a picture of someone using toenail clippers on their teeth so it got an additional response out of me due to that. I don't think it was spectacular though. The next bar I thought was very funny, although I wasn't entirely convinced that the tree branch making a heavy drop was the most correct way to phrase it I still think it hit hard. The final bar was very simple but also I thought reasonably funny, and a nice closer.

Both teams did their thang here. While I have one having more highs in their verse compared to the other, it was still a good battle. I think one was more complex in their concepts and set ups which can be a bad thing depending on the concepts but most didn't need an expo, for me anyways. The other team stayed basic which isn't a bad thing as it allows an easier read. Both get points. As far as punches go, I think one team had more hits than missed compared to other, or at least more harder hits rather than the softer jabs. Felt ones verse had the more executed delivery throughout so my vote goes that way.

its a pretty close one. dope stuff here fellas. Rule i like how u did the ex girlfriend metaphor that was pretty dope gotta doldi verse here Eth was nice in the beginning and just came much harder at the end, and for that verse to evolve like it did imma have to edge it to Eth but Rule was great here to. fv

I actually read this like 10 hours ago and left. Now that I'm back again and after reading both a few times, here's why I chose Rule and Rezn, and not Eth and Rieper. I was amazed by almost every bar from this duo. The Carolina, Rieper bar is just out of this world! Everything they put down is raw. As for Rieper and Eth, I did see some notable bars. They did start off nice but fell off mid way then things picked up back again for me as a member of the audience. Fairs in

most Evenly matched battle I've read. It's hard to decide who won this.

Rule and Rezn:

-  77 Syllables total for the main schemes (Capped Rhymes)

- Longest Scheme: 7 Syllables

- 8 Punchlines

Punchline Quality: 8/10

BOTV: Sub Titles

Eth and Rieper:

- 96 Syllables For Capped Schemes

- Longest Scheme: 6 Syllables

- 7 Punchlines

- Punchline quality 9/10

- BOTV: Heavier Drop than you.

Great battle, giving this to EtH and Rieper due to a higher syllable count in their capped schemes, and overall better punchline quality.

BOTB: Heavier Drops

Got one team taking this for being a bit better blended as a whole, and the punch factor, while the other team had a few bars that were above their opponents,  they also didnt bring those punches in a consecutive manner that the opposing did. Ultimately, that is what made my decision. Really close battle. Fair is in

Kind of running out of time to vote on this I feel so gonna skip the bar by bar. I thought both were solid throughout. I thought RULE and Rant might have punched an extra time or so but I think the EtH verse was a bit fresher and had a couple haymakers I felt more like the SSBros and cutting your teeth. RULE and Rant I was feeling that Language Scene bar and the garden tools line but I think using the Carolina Reaper line against Lock for the umpteenth time was a bit of a mistake esp. in a semi final battle. And I felt like that closer kind of fell flat. I dunno this was a really close one to be frank and was considering not voting at all, but i got a slight 9/9 EDGE to EtH and Lock but I would not be surpised to see RULE and Rant take this either.

I thought both teams were really creative. EtH & Rieper didn't miss imo, every bar was connecting for me. I thought the Subtitle Foreign language scene was fucking dope from RULE and REZN. However, wasn't really feeling the Carolina rieper bar, thought it was kind of awkward. I got EtH and Rieper edging this. Great bout. Fairs In.

Both teams had quite a few lines that either made me laugh or go "you know what that was fire". But I gotta go with the verse I was definitely more entertained by and feel was a bit more creative. Both also probably had 1 bar each that I had to google because I didn't get the reference but eh, didn't take away from the verses as much. Anyways, good job both teams.

Right off the bat I have to contort my language to make guy rule left and spiteful ex fit the cadence. Some good shit to follow though. Liked the little game dev personal. Eth started off with a really long winded opener that didnt really hit too hard for me. Smash bros bar was tough and obviously locks writing. Torn on the F on the card bit. It was a good personal but we just recently had 2 "f on the card" bars brought to light in the forums so it just wasnt fresh. Felt they closed stronger. Good battle.

Decent battle here fellas, but I feel that came out alot strong then the other. Rule and Rezn went in with the punches, but there was some bars in the verse that didnt hit for me.... like that chilli bar or game dev bar kinda wasnt diggin it compared to the rest of the verse. Besides that, the complexity and punches were on point. Good shit!

As for Lock n EtH...I was expecting more from ya'll. The jokes and stuff was nice but I felt yall could have done more to make the verse have a sting to it. You guys both had some nice bars, but I dont think it was enought to take the Win on this one. That smash bros, pyramid and ending bars was dope. Fvs in playas

This was such a close battle and I thought both had a great showing for their own reasons. A battle of two completely different styles. One team was more complex w/ their punches overall and seemed to fit more puns in. The other team was more personal in their approach and the punches that hit hard were well executed. I've read this battle 4x now and my vote comes down to personal preference. I've got a winner based on which verse I enjoyed more. Fairs in.

RULE/REZN's opener for me, IMO, was very awkward. Nothing about it wasn't properlly set up. The formatting is great. It was all straight forward, as always, a punchline with an expo simply isn't doing it right according to RULE's logic. However, he literally stated that he's like EtH's ex. How I grade battles is that I take points away when I feel an opponent has self-inflicted damage within a verse & I am not one to treat emcees differently as then my vote would then be biased. I personally feel like your opener here wasn't your guy's best approach. The Carolina Rieper line was fucking fire; played out though because we've seen bars used with this concept before. The guard 'n tools line was really creative how it was setup. I appreciated the combined wordplay/metaphorical usage and it applied a lot of effect towards damaging their opponents. That table top line near the end was cleverly thought out & funny, fortified by a nice multi to make the punch itself even more hard-hitting. The closer was even funnier, even though the multi-syllable incorporation within that aspect of the verse seriously lacked. Although regardless it overall hit fairly heavily; certainly compared to the opener.

EtH/Locky's opener was really funny. Granted I believe that it could've been set up slightly better, was satisfactory in the multi's department, still hit hard due to its comedic value & shock factor and connected well. Considering childhood is only 2 syllables the multi's connected well in the beginning too. The smash bros line was blazing hot. It was set up very nicely by a well thought out metaphor & had a long mutli to reinforce the bar itself and overall this punch was very witty. Then it gets funnier as the verse progressively becomes more personal. This aspect stayed has stayed consistent throughout the whole verse but go really fucked up with the heavier drop line hitting super hard. The closer for this verse hit really good as well and ultimately I have the responders taking this battle with better set ups (minus the beginning of their verse but was still hard-hitting) & funnier personals as well as a superior consistency of multi-syllable incorporation which fortified each bar even further to help increase the edge these two emcees needed.

Seriously no hate at all what-so-ever for everyone here did an amazing fucking job. No cap. Good luck you guys!
