Big meh from me here. Leaf lettin / leaflet and fly ur / flyer don't really sound the same and even if they do, the WP doesn't mean anything both ways.

Same kind of story here, it's a bit better in that the WPs work phonetically but Brochure: he can win = describing lottery prizes is pretty shit.

IDK how to feel about this verse. the WPs are "creative" but have lots of issues with them. Some of the punches are clean and unique but others leave a lot to be desired. We will see how the opposing verse compares.

The irony, Rule gave himself blank in the first round so hows his “shots hitting the mark?” or GETTING THE TITLE PLACE? Acting like he keeps “straps round back?” then he's WEARING A SPINE'LL BRACE w/ “talk around arms, you're annoying” - KEVIN FROM FINAL SPACE!

This was alright, but kind of long winded for a pretty simple punch.

This is fairly dope.

The extremely inconsistent spacing between multis makes this section a chore to read, to be frank. The wording overall was also pretty rough.

He 'horses around' 'overall' like WORKERS w/ POLO CLOTHES he knows-his-chance-is-blown so i'll show-this-fag-the-ropes like a MURDEROUS HOMOPHOBE!

That first line is just bad. The 2nd punch i don't really mesh with. if it's supposed to be a metaphor between showing the ropes as teaching and as hanging, that's not really clear as there's nothing about teaching him in the set up and it wouldn't even really make sense in the overall context. Then if it's not supposed to be that teaching to hanging metaphor, you're just saying you'll kill this fag like a murderer who hates fags. Just weak.

Rule's bitch and I got a “courtin’ session” we DOIN WEED THEN FUCK “Find Her Innocent?” “She Get Off Easy”, your UNION’S BLEEK N DONE if you dont think its “Over, Rule”? Well, YOU CAN BE THE JUDGE!

DOIN WEED sounds so unnatural lol. It's like those skits "I'd like 1 weed, please". Anyway, the punch here is actually pretty good with a well thought out set up line preceding it.

How much squads he made? If im MODEST, LIKE SIX "Snap; It's Close to a few Hundreds" like a WALLET SIZED PIC so seeing this “Fake Bitch w/ Crews”? Funnier than WATCHIN WHITE CHICKS!

I like the Terry Crews line but Snap: it's close to a few hundreds like a wallet sized pic is definitely a reach. As a rule of thumb, if you have colons in your line that don't belong there, it's a reach. lol.

I wasn't feeling good about RULE's teams chances of winning this after only reading their verse but the opponent's verse had a little bit sloppier and unnatural writing while also committing a few reaches of their own so after deliberating I ended up taking RULE's team for the creativity and overall a few stronger punches that were clean.

Rule & Rant - 

I still just won't understand the reference style. So you have the leaflet line...but the line finishes. It concludes without any mention to the punch. Then we go through an entire extra line and get to a punch, and for some reason I'm supposed to think the leafletting part effects it? Nah. The wordplay was also very questionable too.

I have absolutely no idea about the lottery prizes line. I don't see how Brochure fits into a lottery concept at all. Everything in the line above is relevant, but I've got extra issues. First, having the N' as part of the scheme was a big put off. It shows you need to chuck in these extra little syllables to manage it and it's easy to miss. Also, the wordplay is completely off. It barely works one way let alone both. "If brochure he can win"? This isn't new stuff, it's been established for a decade.

Next two lines were night and day in difference. Straight forward, none of the terrible wordplay attempts. I think anyone ever calling a gun a "toaster" is a fucking chump but I guess you're not saying you would do it. Very weak idea, but because it was delivered so much more enjoyably that the last two I actually really liked it for some reason.

I did have to google QAnon, and sure, it might be too obscure and I've crucified verses for that before. But I felt this wordplay was extecuted pretty well and was some decent little wordplay. Again just a fairly simplistic straight forward line, in comparison to the previous, made it score big.

Ehhh, RULE wordplay. I do like the callback to the UA style of double nameplay, but at this point I've heard every single variation of RULE ever possible and in this case you didn't specifically do anything new with it. I think this could have hit in spite of this with maybe something slightly more specific than "police brutality". Boomer as fuck but even a Rodney King delivery could have done that. But that being said, clean line and hit the mark.

I sighed at bro courage. I mean, it does work, I guess, somehow. But it came off really lame to me. Again the "raise your stock" addition does nothing for me. Just having an additional concept shoehorned in at the start of the bar doesn't change the concept what so ever. Rely on the concept to hit hard and you don't need that additional qualification.

Okay never mind my boomer reference, someone just dropped an acid wash jeans line. Again, this was all okay, but there's very very few bars that are gonna feel hard hitting that end with "like Acid Wash Jeans".

Last line was okay, but you're RULE from Bristol and Rant from his mother's basement. Unless it's Rant to his own head you're not pointing a fifty or gat anywhere. Gunplay is lame.

FUEL and Gritty - 

Maybe the first line is absolutely fucking fire. But because I haven't watched this cartoon that came out last year, I have no idea of the reference and don't wanna have to watch an episode to brush up on my knowledge before voting.

Again, now we have a line on a bar about a specific 2 year old clothing line (and google doesn't even show me the reference). You're going heavy on branding and specifics, and as a result you're running the risk of people like me not getting it. It's different if you're talking about absolutely iconic shit. If someone doesn't get a line about Titanic or some shit, cool, that's on them. But you're too heavy on shit that if someone isn't into that specific label and hasn't watched that cartoon, both of which is very possible, you're dropping points.

"TRIGGERS A SQUIRITNG LIKE GASKETS"...triggers a squirting? Really? The line was actually pretty nice. If you had focused that whole line on "He doesn't shoot guns" and ended it with the punch, this would have been pretty dope. You very clearly couldn't handle the scheme though and it dragged you off track which hurt the delivery and build.

Homophobe line was extremely basic, but fuck it it was a straight forward dig and I feel like those have been missing in this battle so you get some points.

"Doing weed" lmfao. Again, some Rule wordplay but I guess I haven't heard the overrule idea. I liked seeing you try something a little bit different with the delivery here. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but it was something a little bit different and that was cool.

Last punch again was a little bit simple. I actually embarassingly thought squads was some new stupid way of saying money so I had to reread and not be a dumbass. I don't know where "snap" comes into it. Usually you "snap" when something is matching, and 6 and 100 defo don't match. Ending line was okay. Nothing memorable, but a simple little diss and you managed to qualify it properly with an on topic build.

Overall, fuck sake 3 battles, 3 razor close to call. Rule and Rant came out so weak for me. That kind of wordplay died with Jacoby in 2009, so seeing guys who have both won GCs trying to force it in really really hurt the verse. I think in the centre towards the end things were much better delivered, albeit a little bit stuttery.

FUEL and BROTHA, of which I'm going to assume FUEL wrote all of it because BROTHA sucked last round, seemed to just rush out some things and went overly specific on a few references. I do think things were generally delivered quite cleanly.

This is really a battle of a team trying waaaay too much, against a team that was very basic. If anyone knows me, things that are simplistic and delivered in the easiest way possible edge it for me, so I lean to FUEL and BROTHA.

Was impressed with how many solid punches one team fit in the box. Some quality setups and deliveries. The other was decent, but had some concepts that didn't hit for me and took up a lot of space.
