Fire from both. This was a very difficult decision.  Both had fire multis and excellent scheme work.  I expected as much from both as both are dope.  Great work.  Chose my winner (because I had to), based on complexity and smoothness.  Great battle,  great read. Shameless self promotion,  but I'm doing a live battle in bed Stuy brooklyn on 2/17. It's for underground battle league. Both Emcees came correct and delivered something worth reading. That said the winner resonated with me more. This was a fantastic bout and really close but one edged this slightly. Fair is in

Good battle winner got it for being more personal for my vote 

Jimmy you had a great first half of the verse. Flips in there were solid and the consistency of the bars were dope. The second half of the verse falls off due to the broad nature of the concepts being used. 

Rai I think going the extra mile may have lead to the decision I'm making. Now the themes you we're tying together with punches you we're connecting which was great. But in an effort to be complex, I think you managed to do too much. Dope battle. Fair is in

Both had sad stsrts. 

I can say the winner had the stronger punches in this one. 

Other was more on some Multi madness shit.

Winner had best line in the battle and loser was more consistant with the flow.

I think one's cleaner exection won this, both were quite strong conceptually, although for my loser, your opener kinda fell flat to me. This kinda slowed your momentum, but you picked it up and ended strong, I like the macc bar, but the hoff, man thing wasn't that clean and I prefer the more clear sounding verse here. Cause I felt my loser had a few wording issues at points, although that shady background shit was tough, if you had one - two more bars of fire like that, I think this could of easily gone the other way. From my winner, I liked the clean execution. Had some funny shit in there, which was a good change from reading the aggressive bars, I liked the opener - rai's blind tapping the keys, and the Colts bar was fire to me. The others were pretty good. Both brought the heat, but there's gotta be only one winner. Leaning this way. Good-luck to both!

Jimmy Hoffa 8 - Rai 7

really close tbh, both had a slow start, both had a few reaches and both ended strong, one edged it to me. fv and respect to the battlers😎

scheme champion hit some nice punch lines but rai hit him back with a couple of jabs, close but no cigar, have to give it to my man jimmy hoffa the window shoppa haha

Ultimately, I thought this came down to one's punches being cleaner.

In terms of creativity, both were about dead even, maybe Jimmy was slightly higher.

In terms of execution, Jimmy was better with carrying long schemes, Rai was better with pure flow/readability, and wording was solid from both.

Rai was stronger with personals angles. Jimmy also took some personal angles but I felt he was leaning too much towards the fake personals side of things, as good and real as the opener was.

The dealbreaker for one is, as usual, his less creative flips between his setup and punchline. Fair's in.

tough tough tough shit to call here. I think this may be the battle of the tournament so far. FACTS. Both dudes beasted thru this verse and stayed consistent, my vote goes off preference

You guys have similar styles in the sense that there seems to be more of a focus on maintaining relevancy rather than complexity (wordplay/metaphors). It shows in your use of quotations which usually signifies a relationship between concepts rather than a wordplay or metaphor. You both have clean wording, however, I think Jimmy Hoffa slightly edged in that department because his language came across to me as slightly more natural and straightforward. When it comes to maintaining relevancy of concepts, however, I felt Rai did a better job. Rai also came harder with the personals. It was a fairly close battle and I could see either advancing, but I've got a winner I very slight edge.

I think Jimmy had some nice wp and relevant schemes that were hitting clean even though I feel some of his punches were jabs ..... Rai had some highlights, he schemed rather well, but he was too hit and miss for me 

Both came with that fire I'm gonna go with who's verse I thought hit the hardest good battle y'all .
