Congrats to both on making it to the finals. This is shaping up to be another heated classic in the latest instalment of Seul v Lock. This one has a bit of a twist as we’ve got a specific concept to follow.

Your Concept: Super Smash Bros

Due to circumstances, Extension to Thursday the 28th at 11:59pm est has been granted. 

Concept: Super Smash Brothers.

EXPO:

Gonna expo heavier since its a concept which could be quite obscure to some users;

Bar 1 - Bayonetta / Bayonet (a knife). Bayonetta’s in SSB. In the game there’s a shield that looks like a bubble. Once it Bursts, the character gets stunned. Bursting your bubble is an idiom.

Bar 2 - Kirby’s unique move is to swallow people and gets their powers, he also takes an article of clothing and wears it once doing this.

Bar 3 - Meta Knight wears shiny armour, and is also a character from the same universe as Kirby.

Bar 4 - Yoshi’s unique trait is to throw egg shells at his opponent.

Bar 5 - SSB’s damage counter is based off percentages, once you reach ~100% damage you are liable to be KO’d from the arena. Lock’s been amping up his delivery lately. Give a 110% is also an idiom.

BARS:

He's been winnin... but as soon as he drops his VERSE HE'S IN TROUBLE should call the KILLERS. and get them NERDS IN A HUDDLE or a "Bayonet-Uh Break Through His Defenses" & im 'BURSTIN HIS BUBBLE'! [Bayonetta]/.

His bitch wants to live lavish, says he's broke, no FUN & DIRTY TOO while I live-finer, rock designers, told her I got enough-FUNDS FOR THIRTY SHOES so now 'She Swallows Me, & Copies My Swag' like 'ONE OF KIRBY'S MOVES'!/.

& dudes - Lock told her 'Chivalry' ain't-dead, but fuck that-instead she'd rather buy Hair SPRAYS & go SWIM IN STUPID CASH so 'If She Met-A-Knight In Shining Armour'? She was PLAYIN' as HIM IN SUPER SMASH! [Meta Knight]/.

Told this girl, if he comes to onTARIO THEN BLAM HIM, 'Yo-She Have Shells Flying At You' like she MARIO'S COMPANION'! [Yoshi]/.

& dawg's been tryin harder with his delivery, but I ain't gonna start LETTIN' LOCK SHOUT cause 'Giving 110%' will only GET HIM 'KNOCKED OUT'!/. [In SSB, past 100% dmg - you are subject to be KO'd].

Oooh this FLAMES! Good shit to both definitely worth the wait gl to you guys its GLOATS!

FLAMES on both sides but looks like Seul's a Sore Winner...GLOATS

ok im judging this battle purely on punchlines and wordplay directed towards each other with with the concept of Mario Bros..... first off i just wanna say ya both hammered the nail on the head, The aggression and flow mixed with wordplay and Smash bro's was tight as fuck... but i did notice that one Emcee tended to direct around 80% of their drop/punches towards Super smash bro's... while the other Emcee was more brutal with the execution of just directing his diss towards the other emcee WITHOUT having as many punchlines directed towards his opponet to do with Super Smash Bro's..... this was FIRE by both emcees... both did mention Smash bros often in their drops... but one directed a good 80% of it towards it as well as still using them bars to attack the other Emcee... this could be closer then what i think it will be... but in "my" opinion there is only one winner here..... BOTH were fire tho.. that cannot be denied. respect to you both. 

GLOATS

Seul started out whit some real hard puches but at the end i Riper took the lead and drove it home whit a better delivery all though it was good rap battel frome both. 

This was dope.  Concept was grounded well by both. One had stronger punches here.. when the bar was finished, his build ignited the lines. Ones finisher was plain as lays chips but verse was good. Fv in fellas

Lockhart actually had a better flow than Seul this time IMO and I also felt like that his bars were more personal towards his opponent, however I feel like Seul has got this battle because he hung onto the concept more (even though both emcees did a good job at this) and I also felt like the wordplay he used was better as well. However I really liked Lockhart's reflector sheild punchline (I grew up on playing Star Fox lol) 

Great battle you guys.

Fucking dope finals.. I was feeling my choices creativity a bit more.. 

I felt this was a really formulaic and even battle. Like, both were coming with bars that almost could've been written by the same person using the same template, if they were just text bars. I think Seul had slightly better delivery overall, but Rieper's opener was easily the best bar of the battle in my opinion, and that's why I have him taking this. Fair's in.
