Non-Obvious Reggae
Can anyone name some reggae tracks that are not done by the obvious greats? i.e. I've got enough Bob Marley under my belt, I suppose the Wailers falls into the exact same category...
I want some reggae that comes from a less obvious artist.
I've already thought of Walking On The Moon by the Police, which is a nice obscure bit of reggae sound, anyone got anything else?

Check out Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Burning Spear, Third World, Jimmy Cliff, Black Uhuru, Lee Perry. That's the classic raggae ish without a doubt. If you're lookin for newer stuff, lemme know.

Fuck, forgot about Black Uhuru... Yeah, that's the exact ball-pack I'm looking for, some proper raw stuff, almost underground.
And @ PheoNix, thanks for the research but I definitely wouldn't call any of that reggae, haha.

Vit: If you're still on that Reggae trip, might wanna check out Sly & Robbie, King Yellowman, Joseph Hill Culture, Steel Pulse, Gregory Isaacs, Marcia Griffiths. Some abstract stuff in there, along with some really sweet reggae tracks. Definitely worth the time.
