LB Text Battle Formatting

What are your opinions on the LB Text battle formatting?

When we created the original system, the intent was for each line of text to represent a break in the rhyme, the same way lyrics are formatted on lyric websites:

At a thousand degree Celsius I make MCs melt
Fuck my record label I appear courtesy of myself
Let me explain how I maintain thresholds to pain
I walk across the Sun barefoot looking for shade

How the system is being used today is by filling the text box until the system registers a line break (which is set at a specific number of characters), and continuing to fill the text box. I don't think there is anything wrong with this, but I think it makes text battles hard to read because it is not clear where the lines connect and rhyme.

I think a possible solution is to let you write a line as long as you want, but you have to press enter to go to the next line (and change the way the system registers a new line). Then we can format and display the text in an easier format like lyric sites.

Open to ideas and curious if other people think the text battles are hard to read?

In my opinion, the full-line formatting style makes the reading experience flow better and makes non-standard rhyme schemes sound more natural. On the other hand, it's got to be a barrier to entry for a lot of newbies.

I prefer the current style. Filling the box.

Besides rhymes are more intricate now. The new style would make it harder to do your inner multies or to ride two multi sets at once.

prefer the box fill style..if someone wants to format their bars in the forum style, at least they can do it if they want to.. I like this better.. better story telling and flow..and its what separates us from forum based battle sites

i prefer filling the box. the go to method to signify the end of a bar on GM was / or //. the other format looks like some basic bitch shit and i think it leads to a more basic style than LB has made for itself. I write that way (one rhyme per line aka the forum format) when I write for audio / tracks so that should say something.
