Meditation
Is actually incredible. Seriously.
When I was younger I always thought it was some dumbass hippie/religious shit, but it's actually incredibly good for you and helps to increase your focus, intelligence, and mood throughout the day. That's not just me claiming it, there's an increasing amount of scientific evidence showing that meditation is probably one of the best things you can do for yourself. (links below) I started doing it a few weeks ago and feel that I have improved my mental performance at work and have a better mood overall. IDK, try it.

I typically just stick to mindfulness.

I just want to start by saying the "increasing amount of scientific evidence" is still very very low. It's still completely in the realm of acupuncture and cupping. It's still pseudoscience.
That's not to say I'm not very interested by it. I tried meditation for a while, but I've got some sort of ADHD rocking around in there somewhere and struggle to stay still for periods of time. I also can't ever release my mind. Mentally, I can't trick myself into other thoughts. I always got it in martial arts. Doing things that were a big strain, I was told to "feel like I'm floating to take away the pain". My minds like "Lol that's stupid" and I'd just be in agony haha.

I've tried and I simply cannot do it. I'm well aware of the "yeah, it's hard at first" counterargument, but I mean it. I simply cannot do it. I can't pay attention to much anything else either. I've tried Adderall but it gives me palpitations.

If you can't sit still, try yoga. It's a form of meditation.

Trust me, yoga looks like something simple that only women do, but when you have to hold certain positions for ten breaths, it can actually be very physically strenuous and challenging. Even a lot of professional sports teams are now incorporating yoga into their routine. I haven't done it in years but it's great!

Walking to the refrigerator is physically strenuous and challenging for me.

Try counting your breaths in cycles of 1 to 10. It's very simple but can greatly improve your concentration if you can do it for 5 minutes without losing count.
