I don't think I'd do well even if I kept my nervousness down. I'm confident in my rapping/delivery skills, but I don't think I'd connect well with the crowd. Live battles often seem to be jokes over bars and even if I did attempt jokes, most people don't share my sense of humor and I'd probably get little to no reaction. I think what makes a great bar for text battling is often different from what makes a great bar for audio/live battling, and unless I restructure the way I write bars, if I attempted to go with straight bars, it would probably go over people's heads half the time in a live battle.

And I have good memorization skills... But it's always different once you get up there. I got respect for those guys putting on such good performances. And I can't hate on Real Talk for forgetting some bars in some of his battles at all.

iv done a performance for a bar packed out the door and iv done a battle in front of like 50 people

the battle is more nerve racking. dunno what it is, maybe its the idea that you can lose or maybe its the remembering of all the bars

i usually forget portions of my lyrics while i perform and i just freestyle and people dont really get to me anymore, just think of yourself rapping for one person hundreds of times

I didn't read through any of this but yeah what you said is more or less correct. There's physiological signs that go along with all emotions that you don't have any control over. Not all of these things are visibly noticable, but many times at least a few of them are.

It depends on the reaction and how perceptive the other person (people) are.
