Religious Beliefs?

I believe that something is out there. But religion is a no-no..

Samara wheel, your atman, Brahman, Dao-ism, some Confucianistic ideals, & Nirvana are some things that i've looked at briefly and by throwing those all together I think I have a better understanding than those that only have 1 interpretation of god.

i am spiritual, not religious. i believe that organized religion is used by those IN power to remain powerful OVER others and control them. i believe in the power of the self and the power of conscious evolution. i believe that most all 'religious' texts have fragments of truth scattered throughout which have been utilized by those IN power (those who control the texts and 'teachings', all organized religion is hierarchical) to tempt and tether those who feel and believe that they are withOUT power. i'm catching myself starting to rant, so i'm just gonna say that i'm a spiritual being in a physical body working to get rid of the layers of shit that obscure and diminish the light within i and i.

I think there is some kind of higher power up there, I'm just not sure if it's what people think it is. I just don't know how a "merciful and loving God" could let thousands of people die every day..It just doesnt sit right with me.
