Supersititions & coincidences..
Although i don't believe that we only use 10% of our brain, i still think that there is a lot we don't know about our brain. The only thing i will say is scientists do break the brain into various parts (broadly speaking, i.e. Forebrain, midbrain & hindbrain) and all the arteries that pump the blood to the brain. So they do know the function for each, right? What each part specialises in and so on.
Therefore, if we only use 10% of our brain, does that mean we can do more than speak, feel, hear etc???
does that mean we have potential to fly?

I just don't see it

Yes, while they break the brain into various parts, the point remains this. The globality of the brain is in a constant state of activity, during all conscious processes. Now, we may not be using the encompassment of the brain's functionality to its full capacity computationally, or, intelligently. There remains still a constant interconnectivity through the synaptic firings during the processes of thought, speech, etc that is present throughout the entirety of the brain.
