NEW USERS AND BATTLING

IF YOU'VE RECENTLY SIGNED UP FOR THIS SITE....

you're going to notice a few things. for instance, there is a chatbox and pm section that pops up at the bottom of your page. through this people can message you and you can message them but i have to offer you a warning.

"SOME OF THEM WANT TO ABUSE YOU"



some people on this site have a history of manipulating new users and taking advantage of them to get free wins. to stop this from happening to you there are a few things you can do.

for starters?

STAFF IS YOUR FRIEND

@HVK @Aggo @Seul @Student are some of the staff members and if you ever have a convo with somebody that's harassing you or trying to battle you as soon as you sign up you can message these people for help.

JUST SAY NO

even if you want to battle and show off your skills, more times than not, it's a good idea to battle people on your skill level before battling others. i'm going to make a thread and link it here, where i will post a suggested battle guide for new users and keep it updated.


SO IN CONCLUSION

it's not that you're a terrible rap battler or that you don't have a chance, it's just that on letsbeef their is certain expectations that voters are looking for in a battle, and as a new member you won't simply know it all at once. therefore it's best to take it a step at a time and people on your level.

a specific person id' like all new members to be wary of is bnas. he will seem friendly enough but his entire goal is to convince you to vote for him in battles and battle him. he takes advantage of new users on the site and should be avoided.

Yo since when did PMing people for votes, even for fair ones, stop being frowned upon?

I get more than a few a day and that's from an inactive site, this shit would be annoying AF if LB got popping again.

I mean, if I wanted to vote on a battle rn i could check out the text or audio arena and see whats popping. I don't need the link in my DM's if there's a whole page dedicated to it. So I still don't see why it wouldn't be discouraged... but I get it.

This site just functions more as a forum now a days anyways, why not just strip the bells and whistles and just have tournament / battle threads stickied.. tally the votes in the rest of comments.
