Yes the 3 second rule had already been implemented. I hear where you are coming from but I think you mean "weight advantage" and not height because Wilt was guarded by Darrall Imhoff who was 6ft11 and was only 3 inches smaller than Wilt. However Wilt outweighed the man by 50 lbs which to me was the biggest difference. When Wilt dropped 100 there was no shot clock back than so that's an advantage to him but also the lane was only 12 feet wide where in Kobes 81 its not 16 feet. I do see where you're coming from w/ the height/weight disadvantage but lets not forget Kobe was playing the Raptors who was one of the worst defensive teams that year and Kobe was guarded by Jalen Rose/ Morris Peterson both who were both terrible defensive players.
