I think it's a bit (putting it mildly) fishy that Zimmerman say's he was beaten as bad as he say's yet hours after the incident he doesn't even have a scratch on him.

Has that actually been proven or is it just hear say?

Yeah i love discussions like this. It's interesting to see people arguing about something that's actually worth arguing about on Letsbeef for once.. IMO similar arguments will be taking place in 20 years, 50 years.. 100 years time. One of those things

proved my point. your priorities are fucked up. you are quick to justify the fairness of assumptions in regards to violence in the african american community based on black crime rates (statistics are half truths, biases, and falsified info) you don't know the people taking the statistics, you don't know the root problems leading to these statistics, you don't know jack shit but the numbers... but somehow in this situation is completely unfair of me to assume the most probable.

Yeah that's true his position of authority in that community won't even come into play. If he was illegally carrying a fire arm, in the eyes of the law, No matter how extreme the situation might have been. He point blank shouldn't have been carrying so there's no use in him phoning the police as a way to 'cover his back'. If he was legal then that would be an avenue to look into. But he wasn't so meh.

If he was illegally carrying a fire arm, in the eyes of the law, No matter how extreme the situation might have been. He point blank shouldn't have been carrying so there's no use in him phoning the police as a way to 'cover his back'. If he was legal then that would be an avenue to look into. But he wasn't so meh.

that is an interesting point. but im gunna guess its in neighborhood watch protocall to phone the police before making any kind of advance on an individual. you do have to go through a little program to be a neighborhood watch dont you?

Yeah well I was thinking that. It will be on Zimmerman to disclose his past convictions to NHW in order to be given a fire arm. And if he doesn't disclose the information it will then be on NHW to inform the authority's so they can run a back ground check.

Did Zimmerman not disclose his past and did the NHW then not check themselves before putting him in a 'position of power' and handing him a deadly weapon to carry about his person?

But saying that it still wouldn't make a difference because he's still carrying illegally. All this would mean is that someone else will get dragged down with him for not doing there job by checking his past before strapping him up n sending him out on the streets.

just because 'statistics' come from people in a 'higher position' doesn't mean those people aren't just as likely to bungle them or deceive to help benefit their, their company's or their party's position as the rest of us, They are after all only human like the rest of us.
