cash entry should be the way these are run tbh, not subscription....top 64 as usual then pay in, any drop outs let the reserve pay in (would stop no shows too)

Actually, LB did give out money back in the day. I know specifically Olde English got paid for his tournament win.
Pugz tried to run one of these when he first came back I believe, and it didn't get enough sign ups and the money was refunded.

If LB wanted to try and get into the cash game, they would have to run a free tournament with say a $50 prize, and maybe a hard copy of the Letsbeef Mixtape. This would legitimize the idea, and then afterwards, they could run the same prize with a $5 entry fee.
5*64 = 320 - 50 = 270 profit.
Even without getting 64 in, you could have 110 profit, which I suppose isn't to bad to reinvest into future features. LB should start looking to turn itself into a business. It already has like 200 committed consumers every day if that was the case.

Only problem with entry fee tournaments is the laws it's governed by as this is a Canadian website it's governed by those laws and I spent alot of time last night reading into .... And ill be honest it really isn't very clear .... I can see arguments for and against the entry fee....
@ EtH the free tournament is a good idea for a small nominal prize ...
