To me it's all about the originality of the concept. Played out shit makes verses die. After that it's punch impact, which I would couple with crescendo, relevance of multies and relevance of the bar as a whole. Wording a bar in the right way WILL make your punches land at least twice as hard and WILL win you battles IMO. Keep it relevant, and keep it smooth. Oh, and do NOT mismatch multies.

Wording Also Plays With The How You Do Your Multi's, Your Vocab When Your Explaining Something Or Stating Something, And Your Flow. Your Flow Will Be TERRIBLE If You Can't Word Things Properly And Make Everything Roll Smoothly Off Your Tongue When Your Reading A Verse. Then Comes Originality, The Ability To Make Something FRESH When 1,000,000+ People Have Already Said Almost Every Punchline Ever. Originality Also Goes Hand In Hand With Being "Complex" And Thinking Outside The Box If You Didn't Know That Already. Next Is Punches/Jokes TOWARDS Your Opponent, I Hate When People Just Brag And They Don't Attack THEIR OPPONENT! Shit's A Battle Not A Ego Contest. Wordplay And Personals Are Just Extras, Which Means They're Not Extremely Important But They Do Help A LOT IF You Use Them PROPERLY.

1. multis/flow/delivery these 3 are combined easily because they heavily effect eachother, personally im a big fan of some nice multis because it gives a really dope flow imo and without delivery no matter how good the content is, it will be spoiled by the time it gets to them

2. punch/metas i enjoy them to be witty, overdoing it is kinda annoyin imo i like it to be simple but witty, who the fuck wants to think then do some research on a reference you knew nothing about while trying to blaze up n chill with some music. music is made to be enjoyed, not to become a chore.

this is how i look at it, at least on an audio battle, i guess text is kinda the other way around with punches, etc. first
