People who believe in conspiracies can find signs in anything. Literally, everything has some form of connection to a super secret plan, being used to control the world. Personally, I feel people believe them because it makes them feel smarter. Say, a random terrorist attack occurred-- Conspiracist would put together signs and come up with explanations, explaining why it happened and whats the ultimate plan. Most of the time, those 'explanations' are Bs, but they make the conspiracist feel like they understand the world better, compared to the average person.

It was. Two brothers conspired to plant and detonate home made bombs at the Boston Marathon. They succeeded.

9/11 was a conspiracy as well. Some Saudis, Egyptians and UAE nationals who were members of a terrorist group known as Al Qaeda conspired to hijack planes and fly them into American buildings and cause massive amounts of death and destruction. They succeeded.

The 1995 bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City was a conspiracy too. Two nutballs mad about Waco and Ruby Ridge decided to detonate a 5,000 lb bomb in a Ryder truck outside the building. They succeeded.

Conspiracies happen. They are real. The Illuminati dreck that pULSE and others spew is nothing more than Apophenia driven delusions though.
