its not the actual weed thats harmful, its the smoking like jay said...any smoke is unnatural to our bodies...but in this day and age, were all bound to get cancer from something soo...

and you cant overdose on smoking, only consumption

You can't overdose on marijuanna period. It is harmful to your lungs, but not nearly as harmful as having Nicotine, Tar, all that fun shit going into your lungs all at once. The worse that can happen w/ weed is that you smoke yourself out, and eventually pass out, wake up the next morning, and take a bit outta your fridge..xD

@Jason - I never once said weed doesn't fuck up your lungs. I know it does, it is smoke entering your lungs, it will do damage..

@2FUEL - I am not delusional. I am never paranoid when I smoke a couple joints. If I was, I would end up jumping off a building or something, and then die from weed..then you can say weed kills. But you rarely see that shit.
Even if it's minor like - hiding your high from a teacher / parent for example, I realize it does happen, but too say EVERYONE who smokes weed gets paranoid EVERY time is over shooting it.

Im talking LONG TERM effects, that'll come into play when your older, most ppl dont even realise it, but it'll be smal things, you'll end up not going to the shop as your head be all over place.... there's many long term effects that you DONT hear about with weed... i've seen many changes in ppl, in there personality & the way they behave over the past few years due to constant smoking... there thought process isn't as wide as it was before.... etc etc...

I understand, I do, but, my mother and step-father both smoke weed, my mother has been since she was 13, she is 39 now, my step father has been since he was 20, he is also 39...

The long term effects come depending on how much / how you smoke it...if you take 50 bong rips a day, then yeah, it will have major effects on your lungs, attitude, etc. But if you smoke only a couple bowls a day, you can think properly. Trust me, once I slowed down on my weed consumption, I was able to get my life on track. You are right though, people change from it..sometimes for the better though too..
