I feel like I'm being creative in the moment and all my stuff lines up but then after I submit I'm just like...fuck...I wish I would have just thought more. Anyways, is there any techniques you have for coming up with creative lines? Like I tend to try to start with a punchline but it tends to take me too long to get there and the setup ends up being convoluted

Once you've thought of the punchline, make the set up as simple as possible. Youve done the hard bit. The punchline is the whole key you're trying to get. So keep the rhyming and set up as simple as possible, also short if you can, and let the punch do the talking.

If ur set-up is gonna be simple , try to make it canon to the punchline atleast
depending on what u can think of, make it into a punchline. make sure its fresh tho ... if it isn't, its always better to just stick to the subject of the heavy punchline
