First off, thanks for both making the effort and submitting, it's been noted and I was impressed by both verses.
Voting Rubix
Rhyming Scheme/Flow - Phroxen - Both were really different and went with their style of writing, but Phroxen took this category to me. Very nice and smooth the whole way through, I think Verbs scheme was a bit basic in places and lost me slightly.
Vocabulary - Phroxen - A much wider range of vocab used. MadVerbs I think it would have a big affect on your ability if you pushed up your grammar range.
Topic/Meaning - MadVerbs - I think what you did was really original and creative. Adding different characters and switching between 3rd and 1st person was a nice affect.
Storytelling/Progression - MadVerbs - IMO you had a clearer story that progressed faster. Clear ending with a slight cliffhanger affect, good job. Phroxen I liked your style, but I think you'd agree it wasn't exactly a 'story' (which is fine) but that can be an advantage, your verse reminded me of picking up a book, opening it half way through, getting captivated and sucked in, and then closing it again, really nice affect but for those reasons Mad gets that category.
Emotion - Tie - Both showed their emotion in very different ways, good job on both sides.
Imagery - Phroxen - Always the toughest category, Phroxen created more imagery and 'horrocore' pictures in my mind with his piece.
Poetic Techniques - Phroxen - Another tough category, not much use of repetition/alliteration etc. But I think Phroxen edged it with internal, complex schemes which worked really nicely.
Ending - Tie - Really hard to judge as both wrapped their verses up the appropriate way for the style of each verse. Mad had a clear ending that wrapped up his story, Phro had a imperfect ending, anything could have happened afterwards, very very clever.
Overall MVGT - Phroxen - REALLY impressed, I think it's the first topical i've seen from you. Bags of potential to possibly make it really far in the competition. Vocab was on point, rhyme scheme was nice, some advice to you would be add some poetic techniques such as alliteration/repetition etc. You took the story in a really original way, really impressive good job. MadVerbs, your idea was really really creative! The introducing numerous characters with their own personas, and switching in-between 3rd and 1st person was a great idea, my advice to you is work on your rhyme scheme and push up your vocab. Well done to both, thanks for posting! Good luck to whoever progresses.

Overall this was a close one, the battle was closer than the catagories probably show but i think Phro had the better piece overall.

Rhyming Scheme/Flow: Phrox. Strictly on smoothness.
Vocabulary: Phrox hands down.
Topic/Meaning: MadVerbs... Two totally different feels, but IMO Verbs had a fresh interpretation of the pic at hand.
Storytelling/Progression: MadVerbs again, it was a creative story and way of telling it. dope stuff.
Emotion: Phrox.... MV's seemed like a play or something..dope angle but not as emotional as the poetic style phrox took. .
Imagery: Phrox
Poetic Techniques: Close...but Phrox had more of of a poetic drop.
Ending: Tie. Both were dope...MV pulled the storytellers ending, Phrox pulled the "what happens next?" card... too close to call this category.
Overall, Phroxen gets my vote. He took more of the categories and just had a more polished and poetic piece. Good show from both.
