They just made the emcee shop, for people to drop their credits into... also Mindless made a poll a while ago regarding credit resets, and people voted no.

We don't need the owners to make the site better, we can do that with activity. I agree with OP but its not like they are new suggestions, this conversation had occurred many times. It's just kinda up to us to make the best of it, until the owners drop the mobile app... (i know its been promised for time, but really, what else can we do but wait, other than leave. We seem to enjoy it enough to log in everyday as is).

I'll be voting more often, as I did in the past.

How can we do that with activity? Please explain because before I signed up, updates were promised back in like 2010 I think?? But by the time i registered, we were promised updates in 2011-12. Next year rolled around, alright we’re still being patient.. next year roll around, alright now we’re getting upset, next 3 years go by, now we’ve given up. You ain’t been here long enough for it all to say we don’t need the owners. Damn right we do. Who’s gonna fix shit when it glitches out? Who’s gonna exchange usertitles if Student isn’t active? Who’s gonna control staff members when they’re needed or unwanted? In what way DONT we need the owners?

We don’t choose to pop back up on Letsbeef because this is where most of us (not including you) spent the last 8-12 years perfecting our craft and contributing our hard word to become great. Leaving ain’t as easy as you think. But when we’re sitting here watching our site die slowly why the new faces say shit like “y’all just gotta be patient”?

i feel your frustration punk. i think it's a good sign we've got noble and hvk and seul, lots of staff dropping in and leaving their thoughts. i think the staff isn't always inspired and i agree we've had to wait for a lot of promises that fall flat. thank you for leaving your thoughts homie.

thanks for taking the time to check this out, and pointing out a lot of what the staff has done. i think a lot of people agree with you that the mobile version of lb is gonna be a big hit. and i'm going to add your idea about getting rid of the delete button. i 100 percent don't see any reason for it to exist.

I recently discovered and tested Puffin browser (https://www.puffin.com) which allows flash recording. To improve quality, they even have condenser microphones for cell phones which one can get for $15 Canadian on Amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/Microphone-Pro...le+phone&psc=1). I'm not necessarily saying we don't need to make the site mobile. I'm just saying if someone wanted to battle from their phone right now, they can do it with the right browser.

All votes are already hidden on battles.... until you vote. I'm not sure what harm there is in being able to read other expos and ratings after your vote is already cast. It could be educational for a lot of people.

this i'm sure we can all agree on. we all need to do better. that means all you people who love lb make sure to be much more active when it comes to votes and battles and if you can give shout outs on social media and help promote the site.

yeah, so i think having automated responses is fine, but newbies def need some guidance and personal relation. i think mods have a lot of responsibility, so i'll recommend "site greeters" it's a system i learned from allpoetry.com. a group of people that message and say hello to all new users, and comment on all of their first poems. it would translate to lb easy. site greeters would get a special title just like those in the fvc and they would be responsible for guiding new comers and i think it's key to get people to want to stay and evolve and explore everything lb has. and to atone for his sins we could nominate @Bnas to be a potential site greeter. lool.

i say we nominate someone (or maybe several people) to be 'site promoters' they would be like fvc and site greeters but they would be responsible for using social media to promote the brand, and trying to recruit people to lb. i'll make a thread and see who'd be willing and qualified.

i just need to buy a mic and get my set up going. i'll do all the hustling i can to make this a fast process. i'll look for possible co-hosts and a list of names to interview. it would help if we could have a special sticky thread for it and promotion.

Alright, so the mobile app is most likely the best idea possible at the moment. The majority of people in today’s time have hand held phones and need a platform to battle rap, as it stands this website is not very user friendly for phones, believe me, it’s a headache in itself just trying to navigate through.

If I’m being brutally honest this site has died and a mobile app would be the best bet of reviving it there’s a whole other market out there just waiting to be capitalised on. You gotta invest money to make money back that’s business 1 o 1. I first joined this site back in 2011 and NOTHING has changed. Everything has remained the same so the real question is what brings people back? The love of writing/battling is what brought me back, but that simply isn’t enough for some people and with a community as dead of this it could go stale, fast.

Now I’m gonna stop bitching and drop some ideas. I think the emcee system has to go, I’ve never been a fan of it and I think it’s corny and just too grindy but that’s just my opinion, the credits should be a way of promoting yourself, for example 100 credits can have your song featured at the front page for a day, real insentive, I’ve got better things to do than spend virtual credits on virtual items of clothing, it’s outdated. I also think there needs to be more sub forums, there’s a lack in different forums for people to talk about things, what better way to expand the community. I think the main thing though is a revamp/app, this website although it doesn’t look too bad it’s been the same for too long, and in terms of modern websites doesn’t really hold up in terms of aesthetics, there’s too much going on, simplicity is key for new comers.

It’s all fun saying this but will it happen? Sorry but if history repeats itself this will just be another forum post of many where nothing comes of it. I’m not even mad, like somebody said before it’s actually bit of a joke at this point.

i love all the feedback. i think you and @D3FIANCE are def right about the mobile thing. i can say that i somewhat agree about the emcee system being a bit corny. and if anything a grind that most people don't even care about.
